I first went to the Huntington Park Pep Boys where they tested the battery and said that I needed a new battery. I purchased a brand-new battery. This was around February 18, 2019. I don’t drive every day and so the truck sat for a couple of days and when I went out to go somewhere, the truck wouldn’t start. They installed the wrong tires on my SUV. They are not the tires I purchased and they aren't the tires on my invoice. I have left messages for a VP and the regional manager, but after two days, they haven't called me back. The tires that they are installed are the wrong size and wrong load rating. My SUV can no longer be driven safely. I am going to have to get the tires replaced by a reputable dealer and will reverse the credit card charge from Pep Boys. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!!! They will not properly fix your vehicle and will do half *** work! I dropped my vehicle off here and left it to be inspected and whatever needed to be fixed I wanted fixed, within an hour they called me and said my car was ready. A few months later I was in a car wreck and my brakes failed and they are saying that it was my back brakes and they only fixed the front. Bought tires from them, they sent the wrong size, sent them back and its been a month. I'm still fighting to get my money back. I'm starting a claim today with my bank!!! worst company and experience ever very unprofessional, very unorganized don't respond to you in a timely matter! Icing on the cake i got better tires cheaper and faster at Walmart and they put them on cheaper as well.

I had my car TOWED from West Dundee* ******** to the Pep Boys in Round Lake Beach, Illinois thinking I had made a wise decision. My car had decided to throw on the ABS Light, Break Light, Traction Control Light which also went into my soft computer, Power Steering, Service ESC and my Battery light,..all at the same time. Doesn’t even deserve a star. Horrible and unprofessional customer service. Was told I will need to wait 1- 2 hours for oil change service. The demeanor on the person was like she didn’t want to be there. Who wants to come to a place where people look like they don’t want to be at their jobs? We’ll be taking our car elsewhere ????.

This happened to me years and years ago (about late 2006 or early 2007) from a Pep Boys near where I used to live in zip code 92117. i brought my car saying that it is over heating and they made their diagnostics and recommended a carburetor (I think that's what is called) replacement. i agreed to it and the price. They fixed it and replaced...got it after several days. Save your time version: Don’t waste your time coming to this Pep Boys. I was taken advantage of and was charged for services that were not completed. This experience was a dumpster fire. Full version: I’m in the Navy and my husband and I just moved from Mississippi to California. After the long drive across country our vehicles both needed a little bit of maintenance. We went into the shop for an alignment. The car drove in there perfectly fine. Sometime between my daughter getting out of the car to it going on a lift, it was missing a serpentine belt. She could barely drive it home- it began overheating and would no longer start. They stated they would review the video, pay for the tow to their shop and they would repair the work- but we would be responsible for the cost of repairs.
