Did not receive the services I asked for. They lied about the services I asked for. Wrote a false invoice.
I will not use PEP BOYS ....I took my auto for a oil change and it was going to be $81.00. They said I need special oil, which was false. I went to another local place in town and I paid 34.27 for the recommend oil for my auto. These people will rip you off.
Took my car in for an overheating engine. The mechanic said he fixed it and that he had tested it, at least that is what the bill summary said. The vehicle only went 20 miles before it started to overheat again. Had to take a day off to troubleshoot the problem and fix myself. Their mechanics are not very good. All they would say is, bring it back. Why would I give them a chance at messing it up some more. Incompetent mechanics.
This place is terrible. I had an appointment @ 7:30 to get my battery changed but no employees showed up until nearly 7:45. Secondly, my uncle handles anything to do with my car so he bought the battery and paid for it ahead of time. I get here and they see "no record" of his payment. I have to make unnecessary phone calls for my uncle to have to prove he paid when this should already have been notated. I wish there was an option to give this horrible place no stars or a negative star..cause they're horrible! They have no idea how to treat people nor their belongings! If you want your car fixed & not stolen..then you do not want to do business with this place! My car was stolen from this location last year while in their bay. They refuse to take any responsibility for this incident I was told "Wells that's why you pay insurance each month." As others have mentioned, what's the BBB for if 90% of the reviews are negative and there's over 1200 complaints against this company and yet, it still has an A+ rating? I researched tires for a number of hours and finally found a set of 4 Cooper tires online at Pep Boys that were in stock in Wylie, TX and so, I made the purchase online (paid online) and scheduled an appointment at your Wylie facility on FM 544. My son had extensive work done to his car. When I went to pick the car up and pay, the system went down. As I was waiting for the computers to recover, I heard yelling in the parking lot. An obviously mentally ill vagrant was yelling at an employee in the parking lot. My husband and 2 year old daughter were in the car and witnessed it. Negative Negative!! First how can they have A+ rating with 90% negativity?? Brought my vehicle to Bloomington Indiana location spewing Coolant. Not from the area had to leave car there . My son and I are pretty mechanical snd did the fast once over. Fast tests to check for blown head gasket like white smoke from exhaust or checking the oil filler for foamy antifreeze in oil and everything checked so had to be bad unseen house or a crack in radiator. Please dont ever take your car here.My gf brought here car in for an issue with the radiator. Which they replaced for some. 1 week later the bottom pf her car was scraping the ground. She brought it back to them to see if they could find out the issue. They said she had a brake problem and wanted to charge her 500$.
