No communication or accountability. Dropped off car 10am Friday and they said they needed to order a part and it will be ready Saturday. No one called and when I got off work I called at 230. No one has worked on my car. They said it will be done in the evening. Called at 600pm and same answer, no one has worked on my car. Highly disappointed. They should have been honest and I could have taken my business elsewhere to get done in a timely manner. Will be writing reviews to Attorney General, consumer affairs, BBB, to the cor... read more

I purchased and paid for a part on-line I got to the store and it was the wrong part. Instead of just having the warehouse sending the correct part they canceled the order and created a new order for the same correct part. When it came it they tried to sell me the part at a $120.00 markup from what it was online. Even though I had the email showing the price they would not honor it. Bait and switch was outlawed years ago. This was my first and last experience with Pep Boys!

I took my vehicle in on August 31st because it was starting to over heat .They did a coolant evaluation , a heating coil, drain and fill of radiator and pressure test. Told me my car was good to go so we picked it up on the fifth of Sept.got on the road to go home and as soon as I hit the highway and increased my speed to 60 everything went haywire. I absolutely hate Pep Boys at this point. I originally brought my car to them early on Tuesday the 8th of August. They diagnosed my vehicle and told me everything that was wrong. I brought my car there because of the noises i heard every bluemoon from the undercarriage. The manager called me and told me it would take around $1600 to fix my car, i told him ok and he stated they would get started then. He told me I could pick it up at 9AM the next day. I went in 7/15 for an oil change. Two weeks later I realize I have an oil leak coming from the oil pan plug (bolt). This was a problem that was addressed to me before which another mechanic managed to fix years ago, and as I had been getting oil changes at this Pep Boys location several times thus far with NO issues I figure, OK - they missed fixing the plug this time when they screwed it back in. Stay away! You'll regret doing business here! I bought 4 tires with one of their "specials" several months ago. The special turned out to not be very special because the only way you got the "free" tire was to buy a lot of extra services. As it turns out, they don't like honoring the services they make you buy. For starters it took them 3+ hours to START putting my tires on, that's 3 hours AFTER my appointment time! I had booked an early morning appointment for a tire rotation and alignment because I was told the previous week that it was better to make an appointment for the following week, if I didn't want to wait 2 1/2 hours as a walk-in. On the day of my appointment, there were only 2 other cars in stalls, so, I planned to stay and wait for my car. Bad idea. This is what I wrote while chatting on Pepboys Website Chat service before being disconnected. (I sent this same complaint to Pepboys, Consumer Affairs, and now BBB) Yes, I was at Store 167 for a Warranty wheel alignment. I made a scheduled appointment via online on Saturday for a 9:am Appointment on Sunday, 07-23-2017. I arrived at the store at 8.50am. At 9:am the maint. I visited the Pep Boys located at 5126 N 7th St. in Phoenix, AZ about 3 weeks ago to have the catalytic converter on my car replaced. I was told that they would need to order the part and they would be in touch with me once the part arrived (I was told that this contact would occur within a week). After a week and a half had passed I called to check on the status of the part. The person who answered the phone said that they did not know and they would have the manager give me a call back.
