Actual stars are 0 out of 5. The North Richland Hills, Texas Location on Rufe Snow Dr. has terrible customer service. We have a commercial account (which we will no longer use as of today). We couldn't locate a receipt for a battery but knew we were within the 3 year warranty. First spoke with the Manager Trey. Trey was cold and said he didn't know how to look in the "old" system and find my order history. I became frustrated and he put me on hold for 5 minutes. My boyfriend and I were at the Lincoln highway store and they were extremely busy so my boyfriend and I purchased tools and tried it ourselves and a very nice gentleman by the name of Cameron assisted us and Helped us out with our issue . Wish their were more people willing to assist and helpful in this world.

This particular location in Matteson IL has the worst customer service. They are very unorganized and slow. They do not communicate with one another and they do not honor appointments. I had an appointment for 11:30 am on a Saturday. When I was finally acknowledged, the service rep told me that they will get to my car after the other cars that were in front of me even though I had an appointment. My vehicle was towed in to Pep Boys after 6 on a Saturday. I asked for a battery replacement, but the tech said, "I don't want to just sell you a battery and have that not be the problem. I'd like to do some diagnostics on it first to make sure it's not the alternator or the wiring. I'll be in a 9 a.m. tomorrow." All right. Next day comes, 2 p.m., no word. Don’t take ur car there for them to even look at RIP off 2017 tune up then they reset the engine light now the dealer can’t make out what the probable may be the codes are saying nothing it wrong so now ever so often when it acts up and the engine light come on I have to take it back to the dealer BAD mistake taking it there but when it was hesitating I panic and was closer to Pepboys They can’t change a tire for me or should for anybody I believe the reset that light knowing to cover there tracks

Classic bait and switch! Got an online quote from "Chris" to replace brake pads and rotors. After dropping off my truck for the repairs, was called by store manager "Joe" that the quote couldn't be honored and the cost would be double. Contacted customer service - they pulled the chat and confirmed the quote amount. They said made a mistake, "leaving a few services off" which drove up the cost. The store wouldn't honor the quote - said it came from customer service, not them! They ALL work for pep boys, just pointing fingers... read more

I spent $800 on tiers drove 50 miles and my truck started shacking I had to drive at 52 miles per hour from Orlando,plus they scratched all my new rims dented one of them $ 1000.00 dollar rims they don't give a crap now I have to stand around here waiting for them to fix the shacking tire kingdom is wores.

This is for the ****S Broad St Location. It seems I'm not the first customer to write a review like this which is disappointing. I'm afraid I must warn anyone who reads this to avoid this store at all costs. I went in for my annual inspection which I have passed at this location before, and while the car passed its emissions test, it "failed" the safety test. When I asked why, I was told of a bogus problem with the driver's side window that would require testing, diagnostics, time, and seemingly cost a lot of money. Mind you... read more

I am livid. ! I took my car in to get a oil change and a tune up. When I left and got on the road my car started smelling of gasoline and stopped on the side of the road. Now my fuel line is shooting out gas and won’t start. They claim they were not the reason for the mishap but I find that completely unbelievable because when I took my car to them even they made it clear there was completely nothing wrong with my car.
