Left truck to have leaking valve cover gasket replaced. Oil/filter change was to be part of that task. Neither oil nor filter were changed even though I was charged for it. I got that portion of the bill refunded. Today I began to clean the engine compartment so I could monitor for any oil leaks from valve cover. I found a broken part on the bottom of the air filter holder. It connects to a hose which feeds to the valve cover. It had been cleaned a bit and the GLUED BACK TOGETHER, apparently with epoxy. I went to pep boys for a simple brake and rotor replacement on my Lexus ct 200h. I receive my car back in worst condition. Yes they replaced the brakes and rotors but in doing so they created a whole new problem. In the process of replacing brakes, something happened with a connecting power line to the engine. All I needed was my brakes replaced why is anything else being tampered with. Very POOR and DANGEROUS Service!!!! I brought my 2013 Maxima in for service because I heard and felt a slight vibration coming form the rear, The Service advisor seemed very annoyed that I was bringing my car in close to closing, (I brushed it off). After waiting and hour or so he told me they found nothing wrong, I breathed a sigh of relief. This company is no longer the company we all grew up adoring! The service is so horibble!!! I ordered 2 tires online since the 19th of August and they kept telling me the said item hasn't shipped or left the warehouse since the 19th of August 2019You will be lucky to reach them on the phone, and even when you do,they will disconnect the phone and have you call over and over again! Terrible experience. My car started losing power the ability to get up to speed on the roads. I took the car in to Pep Boys for a diagnosis. First of all, they completely misdiagnosed the problem (after charging me $100 for a diagnostic fee). They said it was the catalytic converters and sensors. But I took it to another mechanic for a second opinion, and it turns out the problem was a bad timing chain, which can be replaced for $900. They quoted me $3000 for a misdiagnosis. Very shady. Stay away. Buyer beware.

Went to the pep boys in white Settlement for a oil change on a Saturday, on my way from work which is an hour away on the following Monday my car started slowing down my air cut off needless to say my husband checked and no fluids were in my car. i sat with my son for over 4hrs after my appt. for my ac to be fixed only for them to give me a oil change I didn't ask for a can of monster for my son and tell me they cant fixed it, it might be electrical have to run another diagnostic for 89.99. This is a review about the Pep Boys in Waldorf, MD; specifically the one located at 3390 Crain Hwy. I have never in my life experienced such awful service as I have at this location. My car has been there going on 3 weeks and it STILL isn't finished. They never did a diagnostic test when I initially took it in, and after replacing my alternator (which we thought was the only issue), my car still didn't start. I took my car in for an oil change. They advertise that they look over your vehicle too during an oil change. They did not. My brakes are going bad, which they should have noticed. I asked them to also check out the air condition making a knocking noise when you turn it off. Pep Boys wanted around thirty dollars just to look at the air conditioner, so I didn't have that done. If they're going to charge to look at the a/c, I won't be a customer here.
