The billing department is an absolute joke! I had a procedure done through this group...I set up billing through them when my insurance decided they were going to pay out more for the procedure I had done. It’s been MONTHS since the new EOB and Payment has been received by Pediatrix and they still can’t figure out what is going on. Very unpleasant interactions with Pediatrix Medical Group. Drs Spitzmiller DO and Samiec MD provided some services for my son’s birth and discharge, although I couldn’t tell you what their services were because I never met them and descriptions are just that “birth” and “discharge day,” respectively. Your company keeps sending me a bill that has not been provided to the insurance company. Stop trying to scam people. It is easy to see that is what you are doing by reading your other reviews of people with the same problem.
The worst. I had my surviving twin in January 2019 and they are an out of network provider for my plan, which I’m okay with. What I’m not okay with is calling multiple times a day to PAY MY BILL and nobody seems to know what to do. I’ve left multiple messages over the last two weeks with a promise of call back in 24-48 hours. Still have not heard back from ANYONE!! Shouldn’t be so hard to collect a card number for a payment. But will send me letter after letter in the mail to PAY MY BILL. So ridiculous.
THis is not a doctor or provider you choose. We did not request them- they was just the person who was (I thought) was employed by the hospital---in FLORIDA. Out of the blue we receive a bill for $1800 from a company in Michigan, asking for payment (to a company I have never seen or heard) in Illinois. Insurance was never billed or asked for.
I have been trying to get Pediatrix Medical Group paid since August of 2018. I have finally been approved for Medicaid with spend down to take care of the remaining bill with Pediatrix, however they are requiring statements dated February, March, and April in order to pay them. Pediatrix continues to say that they cannot give me statements because the account was on hold so they are unable to generate these statements. You can't talk to anyone that knows what they're talking about. They sent the bill a year after our baby was born and all they can tell you in that they're just the people doing the billing, you have to solve their mistake for yourself. This is robbery
4 years ago my son was seen in patient after his birth by their staff at Alexandria Inova hospital. they failed to perform a tests that would have caused his jaundice and did not update their charts from one day to the next so their own doctor's could understand what tests had been performed or why. my son clearly needed a consult by genetics and none was ever requested. the nurses called the picu staff because they were concerned our son was heading towards failure to thrive. Pediatrix group Billing practices are very unfair. Stay away from them at any cost. They are sending me a bill 2 years after my daughters birth. They at first sent the bill to incorrect insurance ID and did nothing to remedy the situation for more than 1 year. And now after 2 years, they are asking me to pay a bill of $1709.
