I'm not wasting my time going into detail of how terrible they are. After reading all of their reviews, I see that I am one of many. No telling how many people they are harassing and trying to take advantage of. I will never use Women's and Children's Hospital in Lafayette again. Pediatrix is bad for business and it is ran like a "Jerry Springer" type business. It's cheap and it's trash.

We had two issues- no treatment for baby jaundice & billing issues. Pediatrix Group (Megella Medical Associates) has subpar physicians who could cost a child their life if they are not careful. Not only that, but they are taking advantage of people who are not familiar with medical billing. To not process an adjustment from a health insurance company that was done in good faith is greedy & everything that is wrong with the health care system. AVOID THEM IF YOU CAN! I gave birth to my daughter at Medical City Hospital in Dall... read more

Unfortunately, when Marcus just hung up on me all I could think of is why didn't he do that sooner, and waste less of my time? I called to give information about a letter/bill and the systems aren't even set up to link to the account number printed on the paper sent to me The website looks slightly more useful but also not set up for great information or contact (to the right people). Hopefully this is a private company, because I can't imagine stockholders putting up with this poor service to customers.

What a scam. For my newborn we made sure everything was in network. But these guys are used for the mandatory hearing screening. Didn't have a choice on whether to use them or not. They are out of network for United health care. It's their way of getting the full out of network cost and sticking it to the patient. After multiple calls it looks like they are used to pulling this fast one by the patients and hit a 5 dollar account balance charge after the 1st of the month past billing. Terrible.

I’m being billed by Pediatrix 2 years after services were rendered. My insurance company notified them right away that their coding was incorrect, but they did nothing to correct it. After 16 months my insurance company fixed it on Pediatrix behalf and Pediatrix billed me, 2 years after the fact. This is a classic case of what’s wrong with the healthcare system: no one advocates for the patient.

Was double billed for the same procedure (newborn hearing test)and I am consistently getting calls looking to pay the duplicate bill - fulled charges mind you. My insurance company has already confirmed I only owe 23.00 co-insurance and the EOB confirms this info. However every time I contact Pediatrix they advise they don’t have access to EOBS - as I work for a PPO organization I know this is a total lie. Side note, I never even received any bills until my son was 7 months old which is a red flag that this company is disorg... read more

Their billing is an absolute joke. There is a coding error on my account that I jumped through a bunch of hoops to resolve and I am still getting bills for something that the insurance would happily pay if Pediatrix had intelligent life handling their billing. But instead I get to spend hours every month (and yes this has been going on a YEAR now) trying to get this resolved. They are purposefully scamming new mothers and their children - in this case a very premature NICU baby that requires a developmental pediatrician. I w... read more

The only reason this company gets a 1 is because 0 isn’t an option. They have received over double in payment of the amount allowable for services provided from our primary insurance. Now they are not willing to honor the amount allowable in the contract with our secondary insurance. Long story short they been paid over 10k for a bill that after insurance was only 4.5k. They still want us to pay 1.8k. Calling their customer service is of no help. We received a bill with 10/18/17 as the due date. On 10/7/17 received a stateme... read more
