2016 I started working with Paychex had a small initial problem and it was rectified, then 2 years later our company went from an LLC to a corporation. My first experience with an FSA account was asking a Paychex customer rep how FSA works and whether I can file a claim from last year ($1300 medical bill) with funds I claimed for this year. They answered me yes (which I have an email of and forwarded to Paychex multiple times during our conversations) as long as I filed before March of 2021. Would never recommend Paychex retirement services. You must stay on top of them. They never follow. The most recent employee I had added to our retirement plan. -The form that came from their customer service was incorrect so I had to resubmit. -A month after resubmitting the retirement account was still never set up. When I called to inquire they said it was still pending in their system. When I asked why they got back to me 3 days later to say the signature was not valid so the employee needs to sign and resubmit again. Wh... read more

These guys aggressively try to up sale you additional services once you sign on with them, Their sales people are deceitful and overly aggressive. No matter how many times you tell these guy to leave you alone they won't. Recently Dorian A***** a Cincinnati region salesman tried to push services under the disguise of "reviewing our account" same old approach the other fifty guys did before. Once i called him out he fabricated a bad ******review as he was a customer. Save yourself some headache, stay away from this company.

This is a very unethical company and currently holding our tax documents hostage. We used them for about one year. Earlier this year, due to the COVID-19 impact on our business, we had to stop using their service. Upon termination of service, they said we have a balance of $1,800 to pay. While we are open to settling the balance that they are saying we owe through payment arrangements, we need our employees tax withholding documents to file our W2's by the end of January. We are attempting to take monies out of our 401K and it has been a nightmare. This is the most bureaucratic company to deal with. After Submitting their form we sent a corrected copy and they apparently ignored. It takes TEN DAYS for them to process A payout from my 401K and then they mess up by ignoring our second submission. This company tried my patience to the absolute limits.

Never hire this company for your payroll or other services. when they hire you in person they promise you things but in the documents they say something else also their customer service is lousy it never helps you. I hired them for 7 months and they made me more charges than the government and they never explain why so much charge, I tried to get them to help me open my account but the system never recognized my information, I called many times and my problem was never solved and now they follow the charges because the accou... read more

Absolutely, without a doubt, THE most unprofessional, lazy, inattentive company I have ever had the displeasure to work with. Paychex has had my account compromised by mixing my information up with another person--who by the way, has an entirely different name than me--for over a year now. This means our personal information, including W-2's, paystubs, address and ssn are completely exposed. I cannot wait to be done with Paychex! We've been using them for 2 years but I made the decision to switch after the hours and hours of work I had to put in this year getting my records straightened out. The first year went relatively well, although their reporting system is confusing and interface is old-style.
