It has been a horrible experience with Paychex. I’ve been trying to close my account over a month and no one is getting back to me, however they keep charging miscellaneous fees to my account. I would strongly suggest not using this company for payroll.

If I could give a zero, I would. This business has the most RUDE, Unhelpful, lazy, uneducated group of customer service representatives I have ever dealt with in any business. Not a single person was ever helpful, even the “managers” knew absolutely nothing about troubleshooting, correcting issues, or any helpful aspect to account management. I regret spending a SINGLE PENNY with this horrible company. STAY FAR AWAY.

I had a very difficult time with Paychex, Inc. to assist me in correcting an issue and meet my payroll deadline. One representative ignored all of my calls and another representative was completely ineffectual and then the manager who said he was going to call me back NEVER did. We have no relationship with them, we are on the DNC, yet still got this unwanted spam text "Hey *****, I wanted to reach out as the end of the year is coming up quick and a lot of businesses typically evaluate their payroll partners around now. I worked for a large company who used Paychex for payroll processing. A year after my employment they stopped using Paychex in favor of ADP. I didn't fully understand why my employment did that, until I started my own company and signed up with Paychex for payroll processing. What I noticed was their bait-and -switch pricing where they quote you one price only to change it at a later time. I cannot tell you how many mistakes paychex has made. Over and over again there are issues. I am literally one more mistake away from withdrawing my business. To start, they make mistakes for payroll all the time so now I just do it myself. I am literally paying them for payroll services that I am doing solo. Second, they have screwed up several of the health insurance and dental that I have had for my practice. Horrible, Horrible, Horrible!!!!!!! After various frustrations over the past month, we just discovered that they have under-withheld Federal Tax. When I brought this to their attention, they insisted it was correct EVEN WHEN I SHOWED THEM THE PROOF! They refuse to admit they made a mistake as that would make them liable! RUN FROM THIS COMPANY. This has been a VERY frustrating "adventure".

Paychex is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They make stupid mistakes and the customer pays for it. They could care less about customers and are totally incompetent. It has taken over a month to get one form processed and their reps don't know no more than I do. I will never ever deal with these people again and urge anyone else to stay far away as possible. Would do a half star if it was a option
