Paychex is charging our company more for processing payroll for 1 employee that the employees wages. We have contacted Paychex and they say we are stuck in a contract signed by someone that has not been with the business for over 4 years and not the owner. They are making it so we may have to close our doors after barely making it through the pandemic. The employees last check was about $700 they are charging us $1,400 for processing and another random $1,100. We are working 6 days a week and bringing home less than $1,000. ... read more

This company has lost it's credibility. They have so many turn overs on payroll representatives that I will be switching starting January 2022. I get no calls back or timely email response from my rep or from her supervisor. They keep mailing me packages when I told them I do in house checks and keep charging me for it. I cannot change my package online and I do not get answer from my representative either. Very difficult to work with and they do not follow instructions on how I want my payroll run. I've had nothing but problems with this company for the last several months. Not processing payroll or processing it twice and not answering emails, etc. Horrible customer service!

I wouldn’t waste my time or money on this service!! There is a reason they are cheaper than everyone else….you get what you pay for….they are a JOKE!!!!

Our accounting firm made the mistake of using Paychex for our payroll services after being signed on by sales representatives, Kennedy and Sydney in January of 2021. From the beginning of our time with Paychex, there was major problems. Some of these problems consist of minimal to no communication, two or three day windows of response after we requested information, but most importantly upper of $2000 of incorrect billing charges due to their Sales staff, Implementation staff, and Client Management staff not communicating wi... read more

I was talked into using Paychex HR service. Total joke and when I canceled I was told they need 30 day notice so now I’m paying for a service that I don’t want or need for 30 days

Horrible. For more than a year have been left on hold for 30 minutes or more for any type of customer service. Their excuse is that there are higher than expected call. Nonsense. This happens no matter what day of the week it is or what time. They are severely understaffed except for the sales dept. They have no problem calling to get business. But once they have it, forget about getting through to them. They also automatically debit your account so they get paid right on time, but don't actually have the time for the needs ... read more

This company is a joke. 3 weeks of emailing them to update my account info and they do not reply. I call and they say I will get a callback and don't. I have my rep, two supervisors, and customer service on the email and not one person replies. I have ONE employee in our small business and they can't assist with that, I can't imagine the disaster they have with large companies. I am a small business owner and was approached by the Paychex rep who visited my Office. I am very disappointed with Paychex and the customer service and being overbilled for services I did not sign up for. We set up the payroll and everything seemed to be Ok. I was invoiced on an auto-debit from my Business account. I did not pay much attention until I happened to look at one of the invoices that had been sent by email.
