I am employed by a firm that uses Paychex. I had to take many courses provided by the Paychex Learning service. I completed all the courses required by my employer but did not find a way to indicate "completed" on one of the courses. I have asked MANY TIMES for this issue to be addressed. I have sent emails, have tried to use the online chat feature (the person joining chat keep just leaving the chat without answering any questions). I feel my employer is paying for substandard service from this company.

Paychex is obviously suffering from the same staffing issues as many other businesses since the great resignation. Sales cannot provide a clean quote to add on services: Pages are missing and/or pricing not included. Implementation never makes contact to set up the new service. Billing invoices an amount that does not match the quote ($900 instead of $300) even though the service has never been implemented. There is no way to contact someone higher up that may be able to cut through the incompetency. The bright spot is that ... read more

I was garnished when I shouldn't have been. $3,500 gone. I took the creditor to court. I won. My garnished wages are supposed to be returned. It's been a month now and Paychex has still failed to return my money. I've called, they do nothing mg but say "gonna take longer...." After being told first 7-10 business days. Then told 30 days. Now what? I have 4 kids, a disabled husband and I'm pregnant. We need our ******* money and this is beyond ****** up.

I have been a Paychex customer since 2021. I have a small Nursing Service and I never get in touch with my representative and never get a call back from anyone. I will be leaving paychex. This is not the only business I help run and I have never felt so small then since I have been with paychex.

The hallmark of Paychex is clerical incompetence. The worst fault that an HR company can have! I am blown away by the idiotic decisions that they make, and that cost me money. I’m 2017, I got so frustrated with their disorganization that I quit them altogether and rolled our IRA funds over to a new vendor. Only they didn’t transmit everything. They kept an interest payment and didn’t bother to tell anyone that the account still was active — actually they told us it was closed! — then issued the check to a defunct address (no... read more

I manage a small business and have been using Paychex for 4 years. For starters, the person who was designated as my “payroll specialist” seemed to change every 3 months without notice. This has resulted in Careless mistakes constantly being made such as paying one of my employees $17.50 instead of 17.5 hours worth of work. I have been hung up on by Paychex employees more times than I can count. One of my employees lost their check and needed it to be voided and a new one sent. My payroll specialist claimed to have issued a ... read more

Our payroll is set to run automatically each week. Last week and about 3 to 4 times prior, Paychex has not run our payroll, with no explanation. They don't care about the financial burden that they are placing on our employees. I have emailed & left messages for my representative, but no call back or email was returned. I have been disconnected when trying to reach a supervisor. As of right now, still no contact from Paychex. They are horrible. I wish I could leave zero stars.

They stated a policy and workers comp with my company and because I was having staffing issues, I told them I needed to wait. I kept telling them I was not ready, and they took money out my bank account anyway causing my account to go into the negative and refuse to put the money back. It was illegal and unauthorized...

Paychex service is very bad, I am so sorry that we signed an HR agreement with them. They are clueless. We started HR with Healthcare program to all employees, they had a mistake on the starting date and from there it went down the hill. They couldn't solve any problem, setting any access or portal was disaster, no invoices, no payment notification we had to spend 3 months chasing Paychex to fix things but they couldn't do anything and only feedback was ho sorry. I dont recommend using them at all!
