We were very excited when we transferred our payroll needs to Paychex. Such a huge company must be able to handle our small company needs easily. That is not the case. We have been with them for 16 months and it is one issue after another. We pay holiday pay for staff working holidays, however, our overnight staff gets paid on the eve of the holiday. Paychex cannot compensate that they have no idea how. In their Time and Attendance program they had a great tool where you could send multiple emails out at one time by selectin... read more

So many issues with this company: -unable to get paystubs for direct deposit payroll -did not fill out a w4 for a non-resident state but they took state income taxes out and paid them to that state. The resident state of the tax payer is the same as the employer, and they only paid $2 to that state. If a weekly paystub was given to employees this could have been corrected. -wrong social security number was used and taxes were paid to both states under this incorrect number. Once again this could have been corrected earlier i... read more

Between the random fees they take out of your account and the terrible customer service, I recommend you find anyone else to take car of your payroll. Maybe a fish grader or a monkey would give better service.

Terrible company fees are outrages and are always different when coming out of your bank account. Don’t go with their retirement 401k plans they suck and the fees are ridiculous. They blow your phone up to sign up and then when you want to cancel they drag their feet.

I'm a new business owner who tried to get my company and some of our clients onboarded with PayChex. Other than the trainings and HR support by the ASO department, the experience with PayChex was terrible for myself and my clients. The sales department is aggressive and upsells bundling, even though as a customer you're trying to explain to them what it is your company needs they don't really listen. Add to that they have extremely high staff service member turnover and your account constantly gets shuffled off making things... read more

Paychex has horrible communication and is very unethical. They are pretty much stealing from our small business to get commission from 401K plan. I told them to cancel it six months ago and they are still charging me after I have had a email train to remove my account up to three months ago. I signed all proper documentation, and comes down to their salesman Kerri A***** Trying to get a commission. Please call *** they are much more streamlined and you will get the service you want.

Absolutely terrible company!! I should've went with *** like we did in the past. We were supposed to be charged $1500 for 401k and hr services. We were put on a payment plan of $300 per month for 5 months. The individual in charge of the 401k setup Michael S****** was supposed to be sending us a form to fill out, he never did. After numerous emails and phone messages, nothing; not until I cancelled the 401k all together then he finally reached back out. On top of that, they are saying we agreed to pay $500 per pay period for... read more

Paychex took forever to get my company setup to do our payroll. Then on the second payroll run they over paid three employees to the amount of over $30,000.00. Luck the funds were recovered before the new employees were able to withdraw funds from their accounts. $30,000.00error on their part. Then a couple months later we were switching banks, as a result payroll was made but we had not switched accounts with Paychex, our mistake. Then Paychex demanded a $6,000.00 security deposit. Ok for them to make errors but not their c... read more

WOW- DO NOT put your business' 401K plan here! If you ever try to transfer your plan elsewhere, they will charge you an arm and a leg, AND they will not do what they are required to do! Our paperwork with them says that a final 5500 form is covered with the costs we pay for the account, and I have spent MONTHS trying to get them to file this. They flat out said they wouldn't do it for about a month, and then as I pushed and pushed, they finally said they would, but it's been a chore to get them to do that! It's part of the f... read more
