Paychex is a bait and switch company. Very disappointed. When I was signing the contract nothing was explained to me about price increases every payroll. They are now saying they explained that to me when I signed up and I specifically told them when I was signing that I did not want price increases all the time and having to call to get credits back, like the last time we worked with Paychex. They overcharge me every month. Always different amounts then what I agreed to. It's crazy; not even consistent amounts but sometimes 3x more what I signed up for. They never correct it. Then I waste time trying to get it corrected.

What joke of a company. We canceled your service due to your lack of transparency and bait and switch tactics. We still got charged a few months after your service was canceled, even though your reps stated it was canceled. The last charge was for $58, which we then emailed you about and your rep said sorry this was a mistake and it's been refunded. Now we get a call from collections weeks later for this exact $58 payment. I would recommend not a single business owner use this company for anything.

I cannot leave a negative star or I would. I work for a small company with 18 employees. We have used another payroll for our 401k and payroll services since I have been here and never had any problems with the process. Long story short, Paychex sold me on the savings the employees would receive from lower fees on the 401K investment. I read the BBB reviews and discussed them with the sales people that I was working with. We have used Paychex for the past three years and the service is just getting worse and worse. In November Paychex decided to change the platform they use for FSA and HSA to Paychex Flex. The information was misleading, as we were told that it would benefit us because it would streamline the log-in process. This outfit has screwed up my direct deposit for the FIFTH time now. My employer files all the appropriate paperwork in plenty of time and they still send the money to the wrong bank and I have to wait for it to return and get it re-issued to the right bank, which means I am late getting my bills paid. They don't seem to care and do as little as possible to get it straightened out. AVOID using them at all costs or you will regret it.

Avoid the PEO at all costs. I am in partnership program and stand to make good money on referring people to the PEO products, but I simply can't do it. What a horrible, time-consuming administrative nightmare I walked into. All because I wanted assurance that I was administering HR correctly, because I am a bookkeeper and not an HR specialist. I operate a small ****, Texas manufacturing company and have been using Paychex for our payroll/company healthcare. In 2018 I had a grandchild of which is living with me, along with my daughter. They have both been covered under my healthcare, but I have been told that my granddaughter needs to be removed after 18 months. Horrible experience. Had 2 funds going to 2 accounts (never considered them doing this but they count a catch-up account as a separate account). Had the same age-based fund going into both accounts. Get paid weekly, so that's $40.00/wk for the money to be deposited into each account by employer (admin fees). Each time a transaction is made it's another $19.80 (advisor fees) per account.
