RecommendedWe got Captian back home... Today has been an emotional day for us.. I have to give credit to OceanState Veterinary in Rhode Island.. They didnt charge us for his second surgery or his cremation.. They felt bad that we didnt have a great outcome.. Which we are very touch by there gesture, we would have paid anything to have had him come home.. But they really did try to help him..
OSVS provided attentive care to two of my ferrets on different occasions. In both cases, my ferrets required overnight care and I was provided frequent updates on their progress during hospitalization. I encountered thorough, knowledgable, and caring staff at this facility.
On April 24th, we brought Pixie, our 9-year-old Mini Schnauzer, in as an emergency patient. Pixie was very sick with what appeared to be a kidney infection, and was subsequently diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease as well as a heart murmur. She spent four days at Ocean State, under the watchful eyes of Drs. Bushnell and Toraason. We had our first experience with Ocean State tonight. Our Cat fell ill suddenly and unfortunately passed away. But the staff and Doctor were so unbelievable kind through the whole process and even though there were a lot of cases, the doctor took her time to explain everything and answer all of my questions . Thank you so much for all you do!

Rude receptionists. They messed up scheduling my appointment, which meant that I had to wait an hour and 45 and get charged an extra fee because of their mistake. During this whole exchange I was talked over and talked down to by the receptionist, and they tried to make it my fault. I was instructed to make that appointment for follow up the last time I was there. While I was paying, the amount also went up from what I was told the total would be by the doctor. The staff and Dr. Klocke were efficient, caring, very thorough in addressing an emergency orthopedic issue with our 10 lb shih poo. They fit us in right away. Dr. Klocke was excellent, she communicated via phone often and very effectively. She explained everything very clearly. The staff did a great job!
This virus makes everything 100 percent more difficult but they do their best to help you be at ease
