I am at a complete loss as to why you would talk to me on the phone, i tell you what is wrong with my dog, only using 3 legs, wont stand on the back leg, she is a large breed mastiff - I tell you something is def wrong and my vet does not do the xrays, MRIs and she said ave a couple names to go to, i said your office cause you did surgery for our other mastiff. All of the Ocean State staff took wonderful care of our cat Jango- We arrived at 8pm last night to their emergency department - he was seen and diagnosed by 9pm. The Veterinarian clearly explain the diagnosis and treatment options as well as giving my husband and I time to process everything. I was angered and saddened by the treatment I recently received at OSVS. I had previously brought my hamster here in August; his stomach was bloated, one of the symptoms my last hamster had before passing. OSVS told me not to feed him the “rubber thing” in his carrier cage (the “rubber thing” was an edible chew, btw), and was sent on my way, hoping that perhaps I jumped the gun and he would be okay. The worse vet there is in New England. They charge you just for breathing in the waiting room, and ur animal is still likely to die after the visit oh not to mention ur animal will most likely be used as a teaching model for upcoming students - yup. Do not go safe ur animals life and go somewhere else
Really great at taking large sums of cash at the time of need, but then waited 16 hours before providing my dog with the wound closure procedure needed. Terrible service and terrible communication. I caught them in multiple lies throughout the 16 hour wait. I will go to Tufts next time. Money hungry. Do not care about the animals outcome.

During these unprecedented times, emergency hospitals are being overwhelmed with patient volume - and difficult decisions need to be made every day to prioritize patients in order of need. If your pet waited that long for a procedure, it was because there were other pets in need of more immediate attention. They took wonderful care of my cat Gracie, gave us many options and are working very very hard during this covid crises. Kudos!
The compassion and skill of this practice is phenomenal. while she was sick they gently suggested options without pushing them on us. and Even though the outcome of our old girl was to help her across the Rainbow bridge, they did it with such kindness and allowed us all to be there in an outside tent area together. (brilliant COVID option) Can't speak highly enough.

I was referred here after I had already gone to another ER and was not happy. I’m so grateful for Ocean State! They were obviously slammed but Dr. Rawlings took the time to make sure that all my concerns were addressed and that we not only took care of the immediate issue but got my rabbit on the right track for aftercare. They even made us an appointment with the specialist. Thank you ❤️🐇
