Had an awful experience here. My cat had a cough for a little while and got her into warwick animal hospital (this vet was amazing and I loved them there) they told me I needed to get a CT for my cat due to a tumor they thought they found on her lungs. I didn’t even get to make the appointment when she made a turn for the worse, after her appt on a Thursday she became very lethargic and stopped eating. Useless procedures done and horrible prices Did not find a caring environment
RecommendedWe had to take Lulu, our hound/lab mix, to Ocean State Veterinary Specialists tonight because she managed to get a round femur bone stuck on her lower jaw. We tried for about 15 minutes to get it off of her at home, we were obviously unsuccessful. We arrived at the animal hospital at 10pm and called to let them know we arrived. They came right out, took our puppy inside and came out 10 minutes later with the bone removed. Thank you, OSVS! We are very grateful for your services!
very caring and sympathetic! I brought my hedgehog here for an emergency. They did eveything they could for him, including calling in a specialist. I unfortunately had to put him to sleep in the end, but Ocean State was so understanding and comforting through the process. I even received a condolence card in the mail today with my hedgehogs paw prints in it. highly recommend

Called in the morning cause needed dog put down because of cancer. Couldn't asked for better service and nicer staff and doctor for going thru this ordeal. Would recommend for anyone to go there.

One of the worse experiences I’ve experienced with a vet, especially one that is a “emergency” clinic. They leave you out of the loop of everything going on, they keep you waiting for hours without any update whatsoever, I even asked a simple question on the phone after hours of waiting, “Has she been seen yet? Is she doing okay?” They just hung up after giving an attitude because I called worried after sitting outside for hours. Thank God for these people! My dog was very sick and I was terrified. I had to bring her in at 5:30 am on a Sunday because her regular vet is closed on Sundays. Every person I dealt with from the receptionist, to the vet techs, to the doctors, were incredible. They even sent me photos of her during her stay so I could see her because people aren't allowed in right now due to covid. I think they do allow you in for special circumstances though. It’s pricey but it’s a hospital so it’s understandable. I have unfortunately had to use them a few times for legitimate emergencies and have have been fantastic every time.
My kitten, Gracie, ingested a toxic flower accidentally :( a coworker bought my mom flowers for her birthday, and not realizing they were lilies, left them on the kitchen counter. My cat then jumped up and ate one. When we realized what had happened, and that she was sick to her stomach, we called everywhere. The ONLY place that would take her was Ocean state vet!!
