HORRIBLE company that should not be allowed to handle ANYONE'S money! Our loan was once again sold out to another company---should be illegal---this time it was NewRez. Like many others, it was near the holidays. All communication was late and they claimed we had late payments. We immediately set up auto payments over the phone. Our mortgage was changed from Ditech to New Rez as of 1/1/20 HOWEVER we received no notice until I logged into Ditech to pay our January payment. Now, I'm attempting to sign into the website, which of course does not work and simply shuts down, so I cannot login to pay. Like most of the others here, my mortgage was transferred to this company (from Capital One), and the customer service is just awful anytime that I have a question. The website will tell you that you'll get a reply within 2 business days, but you can count on waiting at least a week before anyone even attempts to get back to you. Once someone does get back to you (at least with my latest experience), they will have to check with another department. I am NOT A FAN. My loan was transferred to them via Ditech. I had no problems with Ditech--I made my payments, they cleared, life was good. I made my first payment to NewRez, LLC last week. The money never cleared my checking account. I checked online, and I noticed an NSF fee and no indication that it was withdrawn. First, I called my bank. Yes, the money was STILL there. Worst company ever. I have been trying to get my money that they owe me back for a YEAR and no one can even be bothered to respond to one of my 60-70 emails or phone calls. It is not only horrible business, but it is theft! They messed up and now they will not give me my money back.

No stars weren't an option so I'm forced to leave them one - they don't even deserve that. This is the WORST mortgage company we have ever dealt with! They are irresponsible and will tell you one thing on the phone abut then not take any action. We have called no less than 5 times regarding the payment of our real estate tax bill with the money in escrow. I am already experiencing the same issue as Karen H. . Has not reached that level as yet but they insist I have missed a payment from Ditech and asked me to furnish documentation for Nov, Dec Last year from Bank of America because Ditech did not furnish. I mailed that to them on 24 Jan and they received it last week and still aver I am one month behind. Another transfer from Ditech. Not only has NewRez bungled my latest payment but they are not answering their phones so that I can clear it up. I also need to get the loan number and payoff amount and I cannot seem to get in contact with anyone. New Rez is interfering with my refinance process and perhaps is even blocking my lawful exercise of commerce. If New Rez continues to prevent me from taking my business elsewhere by willfully refusing to answer their phones I will seek damages in court.
