A WHOLE BUNCH OF CROOKS! We were contacted by one of Newrez's loan officers about refinancing and he made a pretty good offer so we started filling out the paperwork. Didn't hear anything after we had signed all the documents via e-sign. The loan officer had said to not make your Oct mortgage payment since it would be changing and so we listened to him. This is by far the worst Company that has serviced my mortgage. They are the sixth account servicing company. Customer service is inept and inconsistent. If you call with a question, you get a half baked answer that is misleading. When you call again, a completely different answer is given. This happened almost on every call I made to the Service center and calls were a minimum of 45 minutes.. NewRez is a nightmare company. My mortgage was purchased from Ditech when they went bankrupt. I went online and paid my mortgage to their company for the first time. After paying 650.00 and hitting send, a page came up so quickly and left that I only had time to notice there was something thanking me for the almost 1300.00!!! I pay my mortgage in two monthly payments. After doing this for almost 10 months, NewRez decided to apply one monthly payment solely to the principal and noted that I did not pay my mortgage that month. When I called to get it figured out, the specialist took an hour to go over all of my payments with me and found this issue that was a mistake on the part of NewRez and put in a "request" to have this issue resolved and correctly documented. NewRez has some of the worst customer service. It should be illegal to sell them a loan. Here is why: 1) They can't get anything corrected. I don't live at the house where my loan originated from I had talked to 4 people over 3 or 4 days to get this corrected. 2) There customer service people are not well trained. I was asking simple questions like what happens if I want to make 2 payments a month instead of a lump sum at the end of the month. DO NOT REFINANCE WITH NEW REZ! I was told I qualified for $16,000 cash out, then was told I could only get 8,000, then after an appraisal which gave me $40,000 in equity, I was told my credit score was too low to receive any money. Loan officer Paul Ul.... switched my mortgage insurance to $160 a month, WITHOUT MY CONSENT! I have Traveler’s Insurance and pay $76. 00 per month. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! These people bought my mortgage from Quicken. It seems almost impossible to pay them with out a payment fee. They will charge you a fee to pay them! I'm not sure how this even legal. I await the inevitable class action suit, as these guys will certainly be indicted and surely be a part of the next financial melt down. Quicken sold my mortgage and gave me HERPES. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

We have a personal property and a rental property loans that were sold to NewRez and it has been a total nightmare. We pay our main property manually online and our rental property we use auto-pay. When they transferred our loans they linked our properties together and set our main property up on auto-pay to go out of our rental property bank account.
