One star is too many stars! This company is terrible. Everything went smooth the first year we were financed with them, THEN, we decided to refinance with them and everything began to go South. Not only did it take them 3 months to finalize the paperwork, the documents came back with a higher payment and higher closing cost than we had originally agreed to. As of January 1 of this year my mortgage was transferred from Ditech Home Loans to NewRez. I am immediately finding problems with the web site unable to process my payment until January 8th which was not a big deal except that I always pay on line, and NewRez is now charging a $1 fee. This is a breach of the original mortgage that I had with Ditech that never charged a fee for online payments. If I could leave a negative number of starts I would. Worse company! Like many on here my mortgage was transferred to them from Ditech. But also with another servicing company (MyLoanCare) where I also can't get resolutions. Since then I have nothing but issues. Because of late payments, I cannot get access to my account to view anything. This outfit bought DiTech who went bankrupt. DiTech sent flood insurance to the wrong company who returned it a month ago , this outfit could not organize traffic in a town with two stop lights . I have spent hours on the phone trying to get the money disbursed to the flood insurance company and constantly lied to about what will be done. 100% SCAM! THE WORST COMPANY EVER! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I WOULD NOT EVEN GIVE ONE STAR! I have never dealt with a more unprofessional company. BOTH BRENDAN AND STEVEN DO NOT ANSWER CALLS OR RETURN VOICEMAILS. They scammed my father out of appraisal money leading him to believe he was approved with or without a cosigner to refinance his home. They gathered all of our information and payment and then never returned our calls or emails.

My mortgage transferred (beyond my control) to this company effective 1/1/2020. However I was not notified until well after this date. The letter was dated 12/23/2019 but was not postmarked until 12/30/2019 and of course due to the holidays I did not receive it until 1/7/2020, at which point I had already made my January mortgage payment to the previous company. This month has been a NIGHTMARE. New Rez is the absolute WORST and I've been a homeowner since 1992. My mortgage was bought from Ditech and since December (this is Jan.) they have not secured my account nor can they find the $6600 that I paid them for Dec, Jan and Feb. Never the same person handling my call so I have to rehash my nightmare every time I call! I am on the phone with Amerisave as I type this. Ready to REFINANCE. Better Business Bureau needs to follow up on THESE CLOWNS.
