they sent me an email saying if I need help during this crisis to reach out to them. So I went on the website and the forms they want me to fill out hyperlink to download files. However those links only re-load the page nothing actually downloads. So I tried calling and after spending 20 minutes on hold someone clears all of the phone lines, disconnecting callers. Our mortgage just got sold in December 2019 this company picked it up screwed up our payments it is now March 2020 we have been making payments every month and now we are getting notice in the mail saying our home is being foreclosed on I don’t understand how this company is allowed to be working the Better Business Bureau needs to shut it down immediately and give us a refund I am getting a lawyer and we are going to start a class action lawsuit

As a restaurant employee in California, Covid-19 has forced me out of a job. Like many Americans, my wife and I are struggling to make ends meet. Freddie Mac, Fannie May and the FHA have directed mortgage lenders to work with customers affected by the virus. But when we called on two separate occasions, Newrez customer service failed to offer any meaningful help. I think this company validates american greed. The auto pay system is now $5 to process where it used to be free. $5 to work with a robot. Then customer service is $15.

My loan was transferred from DiTech to NewRez effective 1/1/2020. My latest bill from NewRez is showing that I owe NewRez a late fee of $56.14. When I called and asked what the late fee related to they said it was a carry over from DiTech. When I was with DiTech, I was late one month due to a Chase banking error. I paid the late fee to DiTech on 6/6/2019. Subsequently, DiTech, upon recognizing the bank error, waived the late fee. NewRez is now trying to collect that same late fee. They have horrible customer service!!!! My 1098 is incorrect. I have contacted them numerous times to correct it so that I can file my taxes. They keep saying it will be fixed. Weeks have gone by and nothing has been done. Calling them is a joke. They never follow-up. I have been hung up on after waiting an extended amount of time for someone to pick up.

Excuses......Excuses........Excuses. They have plenty of them. First of all, they will not call you back if you leave your number for them to. This is not happening, even though they say they will as soon as possible. They have had my paperwork for bi-monthly payments for nearly two months and they refused to set up my payments for this. I never had one problem with my mortgage until NewRez took over since then monies keep going into wrong accounts, Monies not placed in the right places, their representatives tell me every month they are going to fix it. I’ve been dealing with the same issue for three months with no resolution! Then I get a notice that they have the right to foreclose due to non payment?? I realize that our situation is unique but we should be able to expect an answer from repeated emails, phone calls and letters. My home burned down in October, I lived in it with my family. My brother was also an owner of the property and the mortgage was in his name. Now that the insurance claims are settled, my brother wants the mortgage paid off and I don't blame him.
