They are unhelpful and unlawful in their treatment of homeowners. Their goal is to take your house and nothing else. Reps are rude, you can’t be transferred to a manager they have to call you back but never do all the while racking up bogus fees. Their hold times are an hour on avg just to get hung up on. Scam company, Scam Seniors, This is a company that fails to listen to seniors on a social security paycheck and refuse to adjust payment date so they can pay their mortgage when check comes in. They hide behind a contract, when the loan did not start with this company. to begin with. From the beginning since they took over the payment has been sent on same day since the original loan. I am at my wits end! Ever since NewRez took over Ditech (also terrible), I have been receiving late payment letters (despite making on-time payments) for 4 months now. When I made my payment by phone the New Rez representative entered my checking account information inaccurately. They were supposed to have fixed it in Feb/Mar/Apr. NewRez bought my mortgage from Ditech in the fall of 2019 and the entire experience since then has been a disaster. I had auto pay set up with Ditech, filled out the paperwork to have it transfer over to NewRez. First payment was late, unbeknownst to me, until I received a nasty call from their debt collection department. Asked why it was late if I had auto-pay, they stated that it had not transferred over. They suck first payment got lost. Customer service it is horrible. My payment its late sent out on time they dont know what happen, we did payment over the phone after 20 days late we had been calling no body do anything about. Finally yesterday the call us and now what happen with the check we sent out , bank its charging 35 for an stop check they not responsables for not cashing the check so who to talk to. Unbelivable

I see I'm in good company with the reviews listed below. My current loan is with New Rez. I started a refi with them 51/2 MONTHS ago. Initially things went smoothly. I paid $500 for an appraisal and then the problems started. New Rez asked for relevant documentation which is normal in a refi and we got them everything they asked for in a very timely manner. Why do they have an A+ rating with all these bad reviews. They approved me for refinancing. I paid the $500 and had enough equity in the property to refinance. The office told me not to make a mortgage payment and don't worry about it being late. I received a notice a month later that said they are not going to be able to refinance my mortgage. They are a scam company and I can't wait to get rid of them and hopefully they will go out of business.

They refuse to repay tax penalties paid, claiming that I am at fault. As the servicer, it is their responsibility to pay my taxes on time. They did not do that. They refuse to acknowledge that they paid late, and refuse to discuss the issue with me. I have been trying to pay my mortgage before the due date and the website gives me a constant error message. I have not received a follow up from customer service for this issue along with my COVID request. Every since they bought my mortgage I had problems including with the PMI removal.I think this company should be hit with criminal fraud charges. I will contact my state Attorney General. Hopefully a class action lawsuit can be filed.
