If there was anyway I could use a negative number I would. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a mortgage company. I paid my mortgage in advance using my bank bill pay. In the note section I asked for the payment to be applied to PITI just as I had with my previous mortgage company. I decided to call on 4/16/2020 the last day before a late fee and negative credit reporting and found the payments had not been received and I did not receive any correspondence stating they had not received my payments. I applied for help due to a loss of a job with significant income and the only help they offered me was "Sure you don't have to pay the full amount fro 4/1/20 - 6/1/20, but anything you negated to pay is due in full after this time." This is absolutely no help to people who are struggling to pay their bills. I had to take on a third job just to pay my mortgage, during the COVID-19 pandemic. I work for a Large Insurance Company and they have been the worst Mortgage company insurance department that I have dealt with in the past 25 years about paying the clients homeowners insurance. If they tell you mid April that they have put the check in the mail, Don't believe it. Today is May 4 and I am still trying to get a payment for a homeowners policy that renewed March 16 paid.

I'll repeat what I told Megan Robles at extention #6153: "For five months I thought your company was plain incompetent; now I know that you are immoral and criminal". And I sincerely hope you all go to jail. ALL of you are equally responsible for your fraudulent operation. If BBB is reading these reviews, I would expect your company to be shut down immediately. Truly the worst mortgage company! Do what you can to get rid of them or they will screw you. My wife and I make payments every 2 weeks. We write on the check to appy all money to the next payment. Then we highlight that. Then, we add a sticky note onto the check saying to make sure payment is applied to interest. Yet monthly they apply at least one payment to principle only which then causes me to get a late notice and late fees. Then it's an hour phone call to get it addressed. this company is a ripoff they bought my mortgage from uwm which I refinanced before new rez bought it and they got my escrow and now i'm fighting to get it from them since I never had them as my mortgage holder it's been since 4-1-2020 and nothing yet. I got a statement from the yesterday they took money out of my escrow to pay interest on a loan I don't have with them. And don't respond with your bogus reply left a one star just to leave a review and for the star rating it would neg. ten
Like other reviews, our mortgage was sold to NewRez. We paid them through automatic payment since the first date our mortgage was due. Our statements show current payments. Our bank account is drafted monthly yet we got a letter dated 4/21/20 that stated we had until 4/21/20 to bring our account current FOR THE EXACT AMOUNT WE'VE PAID THIS YEAR. Absolutely the WORST Mortgage Service I've ever dealt with. My loan was sold to them in Dec and I have had to call every 2 weeks since. I pay bi-weekly (always 1/2 payment ahead) through my banks bill pay and have to call after each payment to have them re-allocate my payment. Average call HOLD time is 40+ minutes TO REACH AN INITIAL PERSON. There is an option to leave a callback number which I have done TWICE, and am still waiting for those calls from March. Run! My mortgage company sold the servicing to newrez/my loan care. From the very first payment they screwed up our payments. They misapplied payments and said we were behind when we were actually a month ahead. We called and discussed it with them and they ended all the payments and redid them wrong all over again! by that point I wrote an email telling them they were stupid because that was absolutely the stupidest thing I've ever seen. Absolutely unprofessional.
