Hello My mortgage was bought from 360 mortgage group in July of 2018. On March 03/22/2019 funds were directly deposited into my bank account in the amount of $1,172.05. I immediately called New Rez and asked why this had happen. And I was told that I had overpaid my escrow account and this money was due to me. This is the worse mortgage handlers ever. The management sucks, the employees might have an high school education. I have been on the phone ( on hold ) for the last 2 hours trying to correct a mistake they made. I finally get a rep on the phone, explain to her the issue Newrez created for me 5x till she finally informed me that she could not help me and transfer me back to the line I was waiting on for 2 hours already. We refinanced a few months ago, previously had our loan with Navy Federal. We did not realized our loan would be handed off to New Rez through the refinance company or I would not have gone through with it. Night and day difference with customer service. They are terrible. I am currently laid off due to covid 19. I make about 60-70% of our income. Spent hours on the phone on hold after filling out a deferral request and not hearing anything back for over a week. I had very similar situation like all the other reviews!!! 155 and they still have A+ review from BBB? I am surprise. My latest communication with newrez was in march 7th and have not gotten any information. Here is the info I sent. Background: In November and December, my payments were short as escrow had changed. 12/31 I called NewRez to understand how much I needed to pay and bring my account up to speed. We have a newrez LLC as our mortgage company I would give them zero stars but I have to give them one in order to leave this! Due to the COVID-19 crisis I reached out and asked if there was anything they were willing to do to help us do for a mortgage payment or two. They told me what they were doing for their customers was allowing them not to make a payment for 3 month but then on July we would owe them for 4 months! That turns out to be $6,400!! This company is the worse... I was told that I need to make a escrow shortage payment just shy of $900 before my March payment to cover the escrow shortage or my payments were going to be adjusted to a higher monthly payment... I made this payment on February 11th... then my payment for March came around and the payment was increased so I called customer service spoke with a customer service representative and they opened a ticket because they could see everything was done on my part said it would take 5 business days to res... read more

AT Their customer service is a bunch of idiots. I thought Ditech was terrible, but New Rez is DISGUSTING. They do not know what they're doing. They do not deserve any star. LOUSY, I would not be surprised if they go OUT OF BUSINESS. BBB help us, Newrez is the VIRUS

They are the worst company on the planet. The only assistance they can provide is a forbearance for 3 months that is due at the end all at once. So if you have 4 months of mortgage payments laying around at the end of the COVID-19 pandemic you will be fine if not good buy to your house. I understand its a business and they will make a lot of money with I'm sure a government bailout and lots of foreclosures from not helping any american home buyers. as soon as this is over i will be looking to refinance and get my mortgage as... read more
