Their overdraft protection plan states there is a maximum of 4 overdraft fees that can be charged per calender month. I was charged 7. I called numerous times and was on hold for hours, promised to be called back which never happened and treated horribly. They will lose my service. Not only are they doing false advertising but have the worst customer service ever.

I wrote a complaint about this company and their gift card policies last week. I received a response saying I would not need to give out personal information and would be refunded the $150 they stole off a gift card I received. So I replied back with the gift card number to be refunded. Now they are wanting my personal phone number to get this worked out. I've been trying to dispute a charge with them for a month now. The lies from the CS reps are astonishing. Nobody has their story straight, I'm told conflicting info from multiple reps, managers either never pick up or make you wait an hour on hold just to be rude to you and/ or hang up on you. TSYS is the parent company im in contact with now including dealing with the FTC on my issue. And all of this over a $41 charge.

Total scam: a family member purchased what were advertised as "prepaid" cards as gifts to my wife and I. I had to go through the intrusive process of giving them all kinds of personal information which seems insane considering these are prepaid cards. However, I was able to use the card without further issue. Netspend cards are being sent out as junk mail. I did not request the card but received it in the US Mail. DO NOT ACTIVATE the cards Customer service is awful!

Do not buy these cards. It's a total scam. You buy the card at the store, who takes your money and "puts" it on the card. If the purchaser is under 18, you can't use the card and your money is gone. If you are over 18, then you have to fill out an online account with your personal information, including your social security number. Then they demand you email them copies of your driver's license and a utility bill. Then they decide that's not enough and want your social security card, too. If there was a negative star rating that's what I would give them. They are crooks and should not be allowed to operate under the western union logo and all cards should not be allowed to be sold as prepaid cards.
