Nationwide, I cancelled my policy well before the last day of my policy was ending because you guys gave me a quote for a POTENTIAL car I was getting from Carvana (THAT I NEVER BOUGHT OR DROVE) I wanted a QUOTE and to add coverage but when I saw it was too much and I did not get the car I asked you guys immediately within the same couple of days to take that car off the policy that Carvana did not process my loan and I never physically had the car. Really disappointed with this company. I have been with Nationwide for 26 years and never had any problems with them until now. I had called my local agent to change my policy( to lower it) and I thought everything was alright. On November 28, 2018 I had checked to see if my car/renters insurance has been paid. It was and the automated service said $9.00. I thought it was an adjustment to my bill since I redid my policy. On December 7, 2018 I got a bill for $124.00 to be paid on December 28, 2018. My husband and I originated our Nationwide Life policies back in 1998. Two flexible life insurance policies for and two other term life policies. The total is just shy of a million dollar in coverage combined. Over this past holiday weekend, I received a notice on my flexible life policy stating it had lapsed. No warning, no prior notice, just that it had lapsed. The policy premium was being paid from the Cash Surrender Value in the policy. Apparently, that ran out. Very surprised to see an A+ rating. Had Nationwide pet insurance for my DOG. The dog underwent emergency surgery to remove his spleen for internal bleeding which came very fast due to a horrible blood cancer. EMERGENCY surgery. When I signed on for insurance, I knew the payout amounts were listed and openly available. What I did not know was the discrepancy between the amount Nationwide pays and the actual, real cost of emergency services. The surgery cost $3,146. Terrible service, communication,and claims handeling. My adjuster refuses to call me back, her manager promised me she would get the issue resolved and call me to confirm , that never happened either. Meanwhile , my wife 36 weeks pregnant and I have not had a place to live since our water danage claim because they want to argue that we don't need the same 4 bed 2 bath house we have now, instead they offer hotels. nationwide is definitely not your side. if i were shopping for an insurance company i would look else where.There agents are always too busy to talk to clients and were no help at all when filing a claim. Im with ******** now and would recommend it to anyone

An unethical company taking advantage of the victim and denying claims, because they believe/support there customer, instead of looking at the evidence. They are immoral and criminal just like there customer. I can provide photos to show proof that my statement matches the evidence vs there lying customer statement.

I called Nationwide to get a quote for auto and home insurance. The man I spoke with detailed out everything, both my vehicles with VIN numbers and all, gave me the quote for the auto so I agreed to switch since it would be cheaper than what we were currently paying. I never received anything via email after we hung up, nothing to sign, literally nothing. I then received an insurance card for ONE of my vehicles in the mail.
