I used Nationwide for years because I didn't know any better. My family had a policy with them. In the few cases I have accidents, it was incredibly hard to get a hold of a living person on the phone. As well, there customer support is the worst. When buying a house I tried to get a quote from them. It took them way too long and our house was in jeopardy of not closing. I was with the ************ insurance agency in ***** OH. (Auto and home) the owner retired and sold the company to **** agency (Nationwide) *********** OH. So the insurance that I'd had through the old agency was no longer with the new one it was only Nationwide. They did not contact me and let me know so my old insurance carrier canceled me I had to shop around for new insurance and they did not tell me that I could have kept the old insurance and not shop around and what they quoted me was ridiculous through Nationwide. I love nationwide I’ve had them for years.. but this recent issue with them has me feeling pretty lost. I submitted my claim two months ago and have had terrible communication, customer service, and management is just terrible. My experience has been so bad this time around I’ve changed all my insurance.

Very disappointed with the second half of my care with nationwide. When I was first in the accident, they were helpful on that day, but from then forward everything was a mess. I sent my car with the tow person expecting to have it fixed and get it back. They decided the car was totaled and sent me my things in a box, however they left out the one thing I most wanted from the car and requested multiple times. My family has Got hurt in a Hit And Run Accident with the other party being at Fault witch liability is documented in the police report Nationwide is Not reliable to repair damages to my vehicle it's been over 2 Months of A terrified desator to repair my vehicle or get me back on the road again, I will not recommend this Slumbering Company to No one pick some one else for insurance their not really on your side nor are they really Nationwide

I would NEVER! Go with this company for a car loan. This company is so crooked! I’m not one at all to “post my problems”, but this I feel all people need to know! Nationwide sucks! I have never received 90% back on ANY of my claims. One of the biggest complaints I have is why am I not covered for Flea prevention? Between the flea and heartworm prevention cost me 175.00 and they only covered 50.00? Really? I have been with VPI (at the time before Nationwide took over) for about 10 years and now that my dog is getting older and issues are coming to view, they always have a reason Im not covered? Superior plan/with care core wellness and IM still not covered. How pathetic.
Nationwide's pet insurance is a scam and they will steal your money and avoid paying out claims. NOT "on your side". Their ratings on consumer pages is 1 star. Do not believe this A+ rating that BBB has listed because Nationwide doesn't care about the policy holder, only lining their pockets. Worst customer service and will not provide the data to policy holders on how they come up with their decisions. This is the WORST company to get insurance with.
Nationwide IS NOT on your side. In the beginning of Feb 2018, I was contacted by an agent because my automatic payment was returned due to insufficient funds in my account. I fully took responsibility for the mishap and we scheduled a payment to be made on Feb 16th 2018 for the full amount. However, this payment was not attempted on 2/16 like I requested.
