Twenty years ago, this European-style restaurant was filled with the warehouse workers from the area. Today, The Monte is still packed, but the clientèle has more white collars than blue. The copper bar is 50 feet long; it is worth the visit just to see it. The menu is big on American fare, with burgers, salads and deli-style sandwiches. The Monte Carlo is a vintage establishment dating back over 100 years, serving great food and beverages. Much of the interior is original and the clientele represents all ages. Drinks were delicious and the tenderloin was exceptional. Access from the west on 394 couldn’t be simpler, too. Looking forward to a return trip....

We celebrated our 31st anniversary here last night. We've never had their steaks before. I was VERY surprised to learn that they are know for their steaks... like YEAH they are as good as Ruth's Chris, and even better than Murray's, Manny's, Mancini's!!!
