Twenty years ago, this European-style restaurant was filled with the warehouse workers from the area. Today, The Monte is still packed, but the clientèle has more white collars than blue. The copper bar is 50 feet long; it is worth the visit just to see it. The menu is big on American fare, with burgers, salads and deli-style sandwiches. It’s a singular Minneapolis experience, and easily one of my top 5 bars in the world. My tip : go for a late lunch or a late dinner avoid the crowed times

Went for date night last night, after looking at your online menu, and making a reservation for 8:30. Honestly, I was completely underwhelmed and disappointed with the experience. I never write reviews, but felt this needed to be shared. 1.) when calling for a reservation, we were not informed of a reduced menu, nor when we arrived. Only after we were seated.
