I went for an inspection and oil change. They told me that my car wouldnt pass without new routers and front brakes. Which he told several other people as well. It must be commission for brakes month. We just replaced the brakes approximately 6 months ago and the routers (please excuse my spelling) werent making a sound. They werent hissing or grinding. They knew I had to agree because my inspection was up the next day and I was already waiting 3 hours for this to be over. When I got home, my husband couldnt believe they did... read more

My car was left in one of the Erie locations in late March for an engine replacement. I received the car back yesterday, July 17th and was told it “runs good”. It broke down after less than 30 minutes of driving. Would not start after a jump, and I spent 3 hours outside with groceries waiting for help/tow. After the tow home, it cost me around $2500.

These people are scammers! I brought my car to them to get my brakes inspected because I was told by another shop that my brakes & rotors were good and the only thing it could be was the brake line so I wanted a second opinion ( which I never told Julius or anyone at Monro about.) 30 minutes later they bring me a paper saying I need new brake pads & rotors and they didn’t even check the brake hose/line (which was what I wanted) & that my tire thread was nonexistent & I would need four new tires because my tires had to be 4/5... read more

I stopped in there on 5/15/20 to have them check a minor vibration I was getting from the front right brakes. They took the rear tires off and said the rear calipers needed replaced and the car needed aligned. It was driving perfectly straight before I took it in. I got the car back June 25, 2020. Six weeks later. The actual phone call I received was from one of the associates telling me to "come get this car out of my shop". No one test drove the car, spent any time going over any of the repairs that were completed or asked... read more

(This is really happened and I told honest and truth.) I went one of the "Monro Auto Services" located at "2865 Niagara Falls Blvd, West Amherst, NY 14228" in 06/22/2020 (Monday) morning for Vehicle Light Replacement. I hoped it will helpful but I was wrong. I got wrong person. It was really bad feeling I got later. The manager guy is on the phone when I'm there and I'm waiting. He didn't have face mask and also other technician who are working in the garage during this COVID-19 situation. He asked me after his phone and he ... read more

There's a sign out front of my local store that says, "********* Tire is Joining Forces with TireChoice Auto Service Centers." But what does that mean? Well, I'll tell you based on my first-hand experience today. It means ********* Tire is gone. It means that the new store manager ("Gus") may or may not honor any prior policy you had with ********* Tire. As I am a long-time customer, he was willing to balance and rotate my tires, but he flat out refused to honor my lifetime alignment policy even though they had done it on my... read more

Monroe advertisers a $19.99 oil change using conventional oil. In the past, additional charges (such as disposal fees) Added up to a couple dollars more. Now they charge $34. This seems like untrue advertising.

I was going through my elderly mothers car records and found a receipt for Monro on Tremont Rd. in Columbus that charged her $5000 for unnecessary repairs to a ****** van with 100K miles on it. They gouged her for a "corroded" steering rack on a Florida car that hasn't seen an Ohio winter. They replaced the lower control arms, brake drums/rotors, pads, struts, shocks, tie rod ends, and stabilizer link. I check the part prices against OEM ****** parts and they overcharged her $500 on the steering rack, $200 each on the lower ... read more
