I was @ the McKinley Parkway location in Blasdell N.Y. for an oil change. Had my coupon for 24.99 and when I went to pay for the service, I was charged 71.76. I was told that my vehicle only takes synthetic oil. I immediately called the dealer ship in which I bought my vehicle. I was told my 2017 *** ******most certainly does take regular conventional oil. When I called Monro corporate to resolve the issue, Customer service was rude and unwilling to help. There were multiple poor reviews for Monro. I should have known better... read more

This review is specific to the Tire Choice - 1401 Airline Blvd, Portsmouth, VA location. Had a very disturbing, bigoted interaction with the desk associate named Robert at this shop today that frustrates me to my core. My wife called today to have her tires checked as the pressure in a few remained low even after her putting air in them. She called ahead to make sure she didn’t need to make an appointment. This review details my experience with poor customer service and possibly discrimination at this location. I arrived for my tire installation appointment at noon and was "greeted" by Tyson. I checked in with him and handed my keys over. Immediately I realized that I had left my card to pay for the service so I asked him if it would throw things off with other appointments if I drove 5 minutes home to grab it and come right back, to which he responded with irritation in his voice "I mean, thats up to you. I was recently traveling through PA and needed auto service in Bloomsburg, PA. Staff were very helpful and professional. Great work by Brad, Devin and Mr. Weber on the repair and helping me with transportation issues. Staff gave extra effort to help my wife and I with auto repair and transportation. Great work!

In response to my original complaint they said to call their customer line. I tried, but hung-up after 32 minutes on hold without an answer. That says it all about what it is like to deal with this organization. Useless and disorganized. I spent 6 weeks chasing them by phone and by email to get an estimate - not one call back or reply. The manager was never available and their corporate office could not get a reply either. If I could give 0 stars I would. I went in for an oil change and when I came back they lied to me and told me I had to get my Tie Rods replaced. They said it was dangerous if I left and seemed to be taking advantage of me as a young woman that did not know a lot about cars. I took my car to a more reputable shop that found NO ISSUES at all with my car. Not only was it totally fine, but they were charging me over $900, which is absurd. Good afternoon, my name is ******** ***** *******and in the past several months I have been going to Monros, but have to inquire about work done on my car that was fairly recent. In October, my engine had a misfire so I got service done at one of the locations, specifically in Auburn, MA. I was told that all that needed to be done was the replacement of my spark plugs and ignition coil. I paid for the service, and went my way. My daughter and her boyfriend took her 2012 **** ***** to the Monro in Morgantown, WV Mileground Road location on November 30, 2020 to have her radiator looked at because it was leaking. They dropped it off and the next day someone called them and told them that it was not the heater core, but just the lines that go to the heater core. He told them he would have to order the parts directly from the Ford dealership and the parts would cost $300.00 and the cost to fix it would be $900.00 plus $100.00 to test the heater core!!!... read more

I had my wife bring my ****** down to the Naugatuck, CT Monro for a rear brake job while I was at work. The total came out to $750. 2 rotors and a set of pads on a ******. She was completely taken advantage of. I called ******* for a quote of the same job after I found out what they charged us for the brake job. They quoted $348. Monro charged twice as much. The corporate office is refunding some of that but it’s sill $200 more expensive than a comparable shop. I will never do business there again.
