My father spent 5 days at mission hospital, we got charged for $150,000 dollars. You think for such a price tag they would change his sheets, brush his teeth, help him use the bathroom, or at the very least his shirt, right? Nope. Took the staff 3 days to change my dad's shirt, and sheets. didn't help him with the bathroom until there was no other choice. If you have a choice, fly to a country with good health care. God forbid you ever need this hospital to save your life, they'll do it but you will be at risk for sepsis and... read more

Wonderful experience this week at Mission. The staff were all professional, caring and friendly . They went out of there way to make us comfortable and kept us updated on everything that was going on. I would highly recommend having a procedure/surgery done there.

Honestly, all I can say is wow. Never in my entire life have I been treated the way I was treated here. I injured my knee and ankle snowboard and came here; biggest waste of my time. I can’t walk or even wiggle my toes my leg is so injured, and was discharged after the X-rays allegedly showed that there was nothing wrong with them, I still can’t walk. I hope this place shuts down and can be replace with something better. The doctor who treated me acted like I was some junkie trying to get drugs, the doctor was the rudest per... read more

I had read so many comments and post in the past 2 days on Facebook about rooms not being cleaned for days on end, including a NICU area, an infant went to the hospital with high fever and the doctor told the mother that it was ok if the fever got to 105. seems quality of care went down the drain for money, a shame, this practices are sending this hospital in a fast track to a law suit.

I have now been turned over to collection agencies 3 times because of HCA’s incompetence and greed. I refuse to pay bills that are either covered by mine or my child’s insurance or bills that have already been paid in full. I have made many attempts to correct the issue with billing, but they can’t seem to do their job. They have also fraudulently billed my insurance twice for the same service. It’s a shame this is the only healthcare available to the majority of WNC.

Pediatric ICU 3rd floor and Dr Kiser and team are exceptional! They cared for our son during an emergency situation that was handled by the team above with excellent care, advanced surgery techniques and honest post surgical care with an eye on getting us home quickly but safely as well. Thank you to the caring employees like Melissa, Nakkia, Chris, Matt, Resident Physicians & Anna in child life and so many more I probably forgot.

Worst ED experience ever in my life. Patient care is not high on the list of priorities for the ED, neither is HIPAA. Staff is more concerned with socializing with each other. An underlying health issue, diabetes with extremely elevated blood sugars, was discovered during the tests ordered and my child was discharged with no treatment of it whatsoever. Was advised to follow up with her provider. Stay away from this place.
