Sent my daughter home yesterday, she went straight to Angel hospital where they found she had pneumonia. So I don't find a hospital that sends sick patients home. I hope McDowell hospital is better but it is still pay off the mission system.

Your front desk staff are rude and this place ia very unprofessional. I was here last night for my friends c-section. They did not have her in the system but were expecting me. Today after driving 2 hours back. to same Hospital she still is not in the system different staff telling me there is no patient here and has not been.

Disgusting experience with a friend who recently stayed at Mission. She was there for 6 days, in a room with no bathroom, no shower, and the room was never cleaned in 6 days. Finally had to ask them to change the sheets after 5 days. The doctors never explained what was happening to her and the Ent who was supposed to be treating her did not see her for 3 days in order to get a biopsy. Not a good experience and I hope I never have to go there myself as I will likely go to wake forest before I would choose mission.

Most of the nurses I came in contact with were very unfeeling and cold in their communications with me. They did not follow through with their commitments to me in my requests and concerns. I waited 7.5 hrs to get an IV started. The doctors were not on the same page with the nurses or me about the procedures that they were going to do. They mistakenly put a no food order on me for nearly 20 hrs. So I did not eat for an entire day. The nurse Jan spent more time complaining to me about how chaotic and understaffed the hospital... read more

First of all, mission health leaves me in pain for a week and a day to schedule a cortisone shot. Then they tell me I can't use uber or lyft, even though I live alone and have nobody else to help me. I have no respect for Mission Health.

My fiancé had heart surgery on Tuesday & I can’t say enough good things about Mission’s staff. Everyone—valet, receptionists, cafeteria staff, nurses...EVERYONE. And Dr. Groh is AMAZING—true heroes, everyone here. The cleanliness & Covid safety is top-notch—even good eats & coffee. Thank you all so much—I’m grateful.
