My husband had a bad bicycle wreck yesterday & was taken to Mission ED by ambulance. He had a brief loss of conciousness at the scene & was confused when I arrived there. Was still kind of confused when I arrived at the ED. I got there about 10 minutes after he did; the nurse had only just finished getting him settled and hooked up to the monitor. Here's the thing. He had a head injury with AT LEAST a concussion. We knew that. In FOUR AND ONE HALF HOURS we sat there in that room, we saw a nurse twice (2 different nurses, as ... read more

My father was having heart problems and we went to the ER in Franklin and immediately they transferred him to Asheville. After spending the night in the ER, he was transferred to the Heart Tower where he had several test done until the doctors found what the problem was. Immediately they attended him and placed a stent where my father's heart had a 95% obstruction. They literally saved my father's life from a problem that was undetected for years. The nurses, the doctors and the general experience was more than excellent. We... read more

Would not recommend to anyone. You will end up with subpar service and in financial ruin. Only needed sutures for a laceration. The local urgent care (associated with Mission) told me I had to go to the ED to be seen and receive sutures. I never received any imaging, labs, or medications (which is fine because I’m sure it would have cost thousands more). I requested for a quote on several occasions and was told it would be around ~600$. Two months later I receive a bill for $4000 for a 30 minute visit. $2500 was from simply ... read more

Suffering from symptoms of food poisoning, I was transferred by ambulance late last night, to the the Emergency Department. This was my first trip to Mission...in any capacity... since HCA took over, and having heard some negative things, I honestly didn’t know what to expect. I am very pleased to now report, that my experience was impressive. Every staff member...from the ER Doctor and nursing staff, to the reception/security/housecleaning staff... treated me well. I was shown kindness, concern, patience, respect and of cou... read more

Have better PPE in not only Mission of Asheville but in smaller regional hospitals. Is it really safe to give a RN one disposable gown and tell them to use it all night? Have you ever tried taking off something that is disposable and reusing it all night without contaminating yourself?
