2 months ago Dr. Rothberg took over my shoulder care from a doctor that had left the OAWF clinic. I had surgery 1 year ago and am still having pain. I have seen him three times, for what was a probably a grand total of 8-10 minutes. Each time the wait was about 45 minutes. The only treatment was to get 2 steroid shots, neither of which helped out. After the first one, an MRI was done and he would not tell me what was on it and just said there was nothing miraculous about it. I had already requested a copy of it and knew the ... read more

Making the appt was easy and I got right in. I am a young adult with significant shoulder pain upon movement after a trauma injury 2 weeks ago. Paula (his nurse) was wonderful. When it got to be his turn, it all went downhill. Within about 30 seconds I knew he would do nothing for me. I felt as if he did not believe me and brushed off my injury as if I was wasting his time. At the end of our 5 min meeting, he said it's a sprain and had his nurse give me an NSAID. I received the xray result shortly after our meeting stating I... read more

Making an appointment was easy and quick. Paula, the nurse, was knowledgeable and professional, efficient and caring. Dr. Rothberg answered all my questions and explained my treatment options. I felt valued as a patient and treated respectfully. I would not hesitate to recommend this practice.

1. This doctor performed what was described as a routine surgery for "trigger finger" on my left hand. Afterward, the finger is bent toward the finger next to it and does not close all the way; I can no longer make a proper fist. Two years later, he still schedules office visits with me but has not yet decided what went wrong or how he intends to fix it. 2. He is habitually late for appointments. I have sat alone in his examination room (after the nurse has taken my blood pressure and left) for anywhere between one-half hour... read more

Dr. Rothberg appeared engaged and concerned during my visit for wrist pain. Once he opened his mouth he was derisive and arrogant. "You've got arthritis!" Getting answers to questions was like peeling wallpaper--slow and painful. After 4 weeks of drug interactions (all of which entailed asking him to call me back), I am still waiting for the phone to ring. In all honesty, I assumed he would want to know if I was having problems. He obviously doesn't! His care was reflective of the office he works out of. I called and they re... read more

I was a surgical patient of Michael L Rothberg who sought relief for carpal tunnel syndrome. My condition was deemed moderate by nerve conduction velocity testing. I had full sensation in both hands, and only sought surgery because I had to wear wirst braces to prevent being awakend by numbness of my hand. After "treatment" by Rothberg, I now suffer constant pain and numbness in my right (dominant) hand and trigger finger in my left hand. Rothberg provided no pre-surgical consultation about

I was given a cortisone shot although apprehensive, and the numbing agent did not work, cortisone was given too quickly. I am elderly, and this experience was beyond painful and traumatic for me. I lost consciousness and the lack of care, concern, and attention was horrifying to me. I think that the staff at this office needs training on working with the elderly, as simple compassionate care is needed. I came walking on my own, and I left in a wheelchair.

Dr. Rothberg did carpal tunnel release surgery for me and I was satisfied so when I tore my rotator cuff tendon I scheduled surgery with him. Unfortunately, I had switched insurance carriers and was consequently told that scheduling my surgery was going to be "difficult because it had to be done at another other hospital other than the OAWF surgery center. After several months of calling, waiting, and being told they were still looking for another facility, I gave up and went to another doctor.
