My experience with Dr. Rothberg was not a good one. I had trigger thumb surgery in February 2020 and still have numbness from what apparently is now carpal tunnel syndrome. I had the "trigger tome" technique which is minimally invasive, using only a small device (smaller than a pencil)but apparently it's risky with the median nerve being so close to the surgical site. Thank you, Dr. Rothberg, for an informative and clinically helpful visit to your office today. During my visit I saw the nurse, the x-ray techs, the PA and Dr. Rothberg, then the nurse again. I was there for several hours, but my case was well researched and I felt well cared for by each person. My questions were answered and my initial reason for going was discussed, as I thought I might need surgery on my arthritic thumb. Our problems with the visit seem to have originated with the scheduling of the appointment. Once I made the appointment I heard nothing from the office until we presented for the appointment. When we brought in my 95 year old mother, who had a broken shoulder and is only recently out of hospital after suffering a heart attack prior to her fall, we were told that we should have received an email providing us a link to forms necessary prior to our visit. Waiting time is above average......and Dr Rothberg is a bully with very poor bedside manner....horrible actually. Seems to be only interested in doing surgery. Lied to me about what he told me my first visit. If I could go lower than a One....I would.

2 months ago Dr. Rothberg took over my shoulder care from a doctor that had left the OAWF clinic. I had surgery 1 year ago and am still having pain. I have seen him three times, for what was a probably a grand total of 8-10 minutes. Each time the wait was about 45 minutes. The only treatment was to get 2 steroid shots, neither of which helped out. My wrist is hurting from pain due to seperation of carpels. I came in a monthbago he prescribed Naproxen that once i started taking had all the poor side effects so i dtopped taking wrist is somewhat better i am sitting in the room waiting an hour, on a work day, and only have been seen by the nurse and about to walk out.

Making the appt was easy and I got right in. I am a young adult with significant shoulder pain upon movement after a trauma injury 2 weeks ago. Paula (his nurse) was wonderful. When it got to be his turn, it all went downhill. Within about 30 seconds I knew he would do nothing for me. I felt as if he did not believe me and brushed off my injury as if I was wasting his time. Making an appointment was easy and quick. Paula, the nurse, was knowledgeable and professional, efficient and caring. Dr. Rothberg answered all my questions and explained my treatment options. I felt valued as a patient and treated respectfully. I would not hesitate to recommend this practice.
