Absolutely no patient privacy. While staying back waiting for my turn in line, I could hear every single thing. The receptionist was confirming with the lady in front of me about exactly what she was there to be seen for that day. It was pretty private matters and they did not protect her privacy because I could hear everything and I was behind the sign. The front desk is not the place to confirm that.
Took my 4 year old son to Cedar Falls ER for dehydration to receive IV fluids after being sent by his Pediatrician during a follow up to him being at home sick with vomit/diarrhea. ER Dr. Solomon refused to give him IV fluids because he "didn't look dehydrated" and wanted to try Zofran and "see how he was doing". I explained we had already been doing that since Wednesday and no improvement which is why we were there for the IV. Although it's a Mercy Hospital, this one should stand out for its excellence. They put you first. The way you should feel.
