My HOA has not had a recycling pick up in a month. I have called numerous times to be told it would be picked up the following day or at least within 48 hours. That has yet to happen.They cite driver shortages but still promise to make pickup. This has been escalated a few times with a promise for someone to call - hasn't happened.We may be a small HOA, but we have a contract with them and they are not fulfilling their end of the contract. Republic services took over my recycling services from another agency. There was no notification from Republic that they would take over my service. They began missing pickups or coming days late. When I tried calling my previous service provider they fave me a number to call for Republic. This was apparently an incorrect number. I could not get ahold of anyone to come get my recycling. I have had missed pick *** many times since signing up for service. I have even had the back up pick *** get missed. Our pick up day for both trash and recycling is on Wednesday. They missed picking up the trash two weeks before Christmas and I had to call to report it. They missed the recycling pick up the week of Christmas and I called to report it. As a resident who lives behind a multi family unit on which there is a republic services dumpster, I have made repeated request for them not to empty the dumpster so early in the morning! Im an educator, and on my holiday breaks they come anywhere from 4:30 to 7:20 AM! They show no regard for anyones personal needs of sleep when undoubtedly they could change the route of the truck to start in commercial instead of residential area!

I was told my rate would be $24 every three months flat with a one time fee for the container. I regularly get charged an administrative fee, fuel fee, and now theyve upped my rate to $28.50 without notice! Stay away from this place and their deceptive business practices.

republic services get into a recurring contract without explaining that it automatically renews at whatever cost they want to charge. they are charging 60% more than their competitors.

Based out of the Washington, DC area. Republic Services took over for Tenlytown trash and the experience has been terrible. Its been since the summer of the transition and our team has literally called their customer service team once or twice a week due to miss pick **** Always excuses and never on time. This company offers terrible service and should just advertise it because it is stressful to deal with.

Republic has missed pick *** since October. When I call they say my account is on hold because they do not have drivers. They also told me I had to get a glass bin, because their drivers will not get out of the truck. So even though they do not pick up like they should, they charge me for missed pick***. They also charge for glass bin pickup 2 billing cycles prior to them even delivering me the bin. They also charge the fuel recovery fee, even though they are not coming and picking up the trash. Most expensive service in this area. Several independently owned smaller trash companies in town that offer both valet service and multiple pickups a week for less money. When you are cancelling service they force you to keep their cans and service for a full extra month. Today is December 13th and they said they could not cancel my service until January 12th. Total bull c*** No ability to cancel any day sooner. Crooks. Take your money elsewhere.
