I set up weekly trash pickup a month ago. I've never received service. Called daily to get issue resolved. By the 4th Week! Of not getting service I canceled and stopped trying to work with Republic. I got told repeatedly my trash would be picked up by the "end of the day " I called 3 times yesterday alone to make sure it got picked up yesterday and I was guaranteed it would and they would pick up the trash they've missed. Your company is horrible. You didn't pick up garbage for over a month because of weather and then a strike but you were able to send the yard waste to be picked ** in the middle of winter but couldn't get a garbage truck out for all the garbage pilled on the side of the road. Then you set up drop off locations during the middle of the day when people work. I cancelled my garbage service on January 28, 2021. I was told I cancelled in a timely manner and I would have to pay a removal garbage can fee. My two cans were to be picked up on January 10,2022. I asked for a copy of the so called contract I agreed to when I signed on with the company in 2011. I was told someone would call me within ***** hours. I have had service at my home since ****. I understand that it has been progressively worse since the pandemic. In the last 6 months I have had several missed pickups. The week of 2/2 we had a snow storm in our area and they stated our service would be delayed. When I called the cust ser agent stated" It will be picked up no later that Sat 2/5. Still no pickup. Prices are all over the place. Was being billed $220 a quarter when some neighbors were only paying around $50. Called to ask why and was offered a 1 time promo price of $70, but was told it would go back to $220 for the next ****. Tried to cancel and it took 4 phone calls to finally cancel as each previous time wasnt correct done un thier system. After they picked up thier container they billed us $72 to pickup the container, which is more then our new service charges for 3 months of trash service. Horrible customer service... read more

Republic Services in our location has failed to pick up weekly residential trash one week each month so far in 2022. No credits will be issued per their customer service and scheduled pick up is then also moved out to next week.Our location is a rural area (100+ houses in the area) with this being our only option.Excess trash that is placed outside of can is then accessible to wildlife (coyotes, racoons, etc) in our rural area and trash is scattered throughout our environment due to the lack of weekly pickups. I have had republic for many years in the last four months I can count maybe less than 10 times that they have picked up my trash they never picked up any except for once in January I have called and Ive called they wont give me a refund of $97 . Even my neighbors two other ones have complained and they have not picked up their trash either. It must be nice to have a monopoly on a service. If I sent out an invoice reflecting a new rate to my clients that simply said your rates are increasing without any notice, in fact a month after the new rates took effect, I would lose a bunch of clients, but I dont have a monopoly on the services I provide.Nor do I appreciate them coming by my house at 5 AM every Monday morning to pick up the yard debris bin with their noisy trucks.

I only did two stars since the first couple months I had no problem. But it has now been 2 weeks with no trash pickup even though all my bills with them are paid in full. It's a shame to pay for a service you aren't getting. I have even reported the missed pickups multiple times!
