************ just made my 8th call regarding a derelict republic trash container in the alley behind where i live in south city ************************. Container has been sitting full of trash for at least 1 year 10 months!Also just made my 4th call to *************** in the ***************** where it was refered to The health department! Republic Services charged me $118 for services they never performed and without my consent. I cancelled my service last December and they started up service in June without my knowledge. When I got my invoice I quickly called and said the service had been cancelled. Republic went ahead and charged my credit card anyway. In my mind that is thievery!Along with other issues I have had with Republic I would never use them or recommend them to anyone.

Intended to take one household appliance to the Ottawa County Landfill in ************, **.The Person in the office informed me that the minimum charge was $58.00. That is clearly an unreasonable amount for one appliance in anyone's opinion. I complained and asked about speaking to a supervisor. The person stated that it would not matter, it was company policy. So, a person wanting to dispose of one appliance weighing less than 200 pounds would pay as much as a person with a load of up to ***** pounds. This is not fair or re... read more

The *************** failed their residents by giving a contract to Republic Services, without any accountability. Republic Services does not provide services that residents are being charged for. Delays are unimaginable. Safety means nothing to this company.

My area was notified that we will no longer have service in our area July first and that our last pick was July 28th and our accounts will be closed the 31st. Our trash and cans are still sitting at the end of our driveway, its August 14 and still no pickup. Ive call 8 times and been given the same answer, We have a driver shortage, Just leave your can out and someone will pick up. Called again this morning was told same and if it wasnt picked up by noon tomorrow then call back and notify them. WTH! What do they think Ive be... read more

The service is poor at best. They missed my house this week and after contacting them each day and being told they would be by that day, they have never pick-up the trash. This is a city service contract and I can't change services. They are nice on the phone but are doing their job. Me neighbors trash was missed as well. *************************** need to find a new service which will do the job which is paid for and be honest with its costomers! I written a Email to the city as well.

When I purchased my home, I just switched over the garbage service from the previous owner. I was new to ******** and my realtor said all the options charged about the same. So, I converted the account over on the phone, they never provided me with any information or a pricing chart. So, last quarter, my bill went up $15 or so with no notice, no explanation. I called to ask why my bill had increased. I was told the cost of the service increased, that was it. They felt like increasing the bill so they did, because they can. S... read more

I had a contract with ****** Disposal and they sold to Republic. I didn't want Republic so I called to cancel and they told me that since I had signed a contract with ****** and they bought ****** that I had to remain with them for the remainder of my contract with ****** or pay a penalty equaling the dollar amount of the remainder of my contract with ******. This company missed so many pickups. They even stopped calling to say pickup was not going to happen. I walk each morning and anyone that uses Republic has overflowing trash on the curb. I finally canceled my service over a month ago and they still haven't picked up my trash bins. I have called three times now and still get the same "We have staffing issues" response.
