Im trying to help out a handicapped friend for whom Republic canceled service. The reason for cancelling service was that he needed door service which they do not offer. I understand that. However, they claim that he signed ** in August. If that is true, why did they not cancel his service until October? He says they only picked up his trash once. Never pick this company for you trash services. Was charging me $250 every 3 months for 2 trash cans. I changed to ******* trash services they charge $107 every 3mo for 2 trash cans. I canceled with republic on July 28th it is now Oct 10th and they have yet to pick up their trash cans. I stated to them im not paying $100 for them to pick up my trash cans until they actually pick them up. They threatened me by sending it to collections. Republic recently took over trash collection services for our area, mandated by the City of Wildwood. We spend 6 months away from the ******** area in the summer months. The transition happened during this time. Although we have our mail forwarded, we received no communication from Republic about the change until we receive a substantial past due notice. We have tried to cancel for three months. We told them to pick up the dumpster, and instead theyve continued to not only charge us, but also demand a $150 fee to pick up the dumpster. We will no longer be paying the bill, so surely theyll pick it up now.

Poor customer service. I have congestive heart failure and Kidney failure. I am on the handicap list for pick up at my garage door. I can't drag my trash can down the hill for pickup, therefore I am on the list to be picked up at my door.I have had my trash left at my door over 6 times in the past year, since January 2023. I canceled my service with this company on September 20, 2023 due to fluctuations high prices, on October 5-6 I get auto debited for $132.28 after I had turned off auto debit on September 20, 2023 and talking to customer service representative, why charge me service that has been canceled. Worst company ever to deal with. Ordered residential service. I was supposed to get trash container. 2 weeks later - still no trash container. BUT I did get a bill for service. I have called at least 5 times to request a trash container. I asked to speak with a supervisor yesterday. I was transferred to someone who said she would make sure I had a trash container within 4 hours. That never happened. Republic service the worst company I have ever delt with! The miss scheduled visits at least 1 time per month. When you call they have excessive wait times. Then they will double your true without telling you.Now we have moved on and the refuse to cancel the service, stating we need to give 2 months notice to cancel even though out agreement has ended. DO NOT DO TRUST THESE SCAMMERS!

No matter how many times they change our pick up days, recycling is a joke. We pay for a service we do not get in a timely manner. Our bin just sits out there at the curb in the hope of some day being emptied. Do not advertise recycling if you do not have the ability to perform that service! Raising your rates, no refunds for days missed, and the inconsistency of this company does not warrant a rating above one.
