I had been with Republic Services for 11 years. I had signed a contract for ****** per month. I was reviewing autopays and saw I was being charged ******* a month. The *** was a complete hag. I switched services to another company. They charged me ******* to close the account. They didnt show up and overcharged many, many times. Do not use them. Fair warning.

We have been customers for over ************************************************************************* mid December. We are paid thru to the end of the year. I was told no refund would be issued. Okay, I could live with that. Then we were told the bins would not be picked up for one week after we move. Our HOA does not allow bins to sit outside unless it's trash pick up day. We are a hotel located in ***********, **. Our local trash services were bought out by Republic. Since this buyout, we've had extremely poor service. Over the last several months we've had missed pick-up dates with our trash dumpster left overflowing. When we contact their customer service, we are met with a poor attitude and no effort to make a quick pick-up to solve the poor service. We noticed that our monthly rates kept increasing for no reason and every time I call they do not have any clue why and do not give an explanation. We closed our account which had over $500 balance. We were told the check would come in 6-8 weeks. At 8.5 weeks, I called to ask where my money was. Staff said they just wanted to check my address (we did not move so why this step?) and now they would send it and it would ***********-8 weeks. I said NO, that is my money and that is unacceptable. Republic Waste has so many gaps in their processes and is not a customer-centric organization. Our bill jumped 3 times this past year, most recently hitting over $100 a quarter for this next cycle. We cancelled service before the end of the quarter and went with a local company that more closely aligns to our values and has a much lower price-point (half as much as Republic!!). Charged us $359.38 for ONE QUARTER raising it from $268 that was charged Aug. 2023! Our neighbors on the same path were only charged 1/4th of that for one cart! Same exact service on same ******** gave had the same service for 20years! How stupid are we for staying with this company for this long!!

Republic Services closed my account 9/22/23 after I stopped using their service upon selling my apt. building on 9/21/23. They did not refund the unused portion of my Sept. payment, after I closed AutooPay on 9/22/23 using their website, as well as calling and E-mailing their agent who was in charge of my account, and they successfully charged my credit card for *************** on 10/4/23 for another $173.25, and have just invoiced me $173.25 for November. Avoid doing business with Republic Services for Residential waste and recycling at all costs. I've had multiple missed pickups over the past quarter that they refuse to provide a credit for. They acknowledge the missed pickups by routinely sending text messages and leaving voicemails, however I was never reimbursed for missed pickups.They are also charging me to cancel my service.
