We have been trying to cancel our service and have the commercial receptacle removed from our place of business since August of 2022. We were informed that we couldn't cancel without being billed for the remainder of the agreement until the 36 months was complete. So now they have informed us that the agreement automatically renews so we still can't cancel without sending a certified letter 60 days in advance of the renewal and paying a $2,000 penalty ************ **************** will not provide an address to send the lett... read more

It has been a nightmare dealing with this company. As a business owner myself, I can't fathom how anyone could treat their customers the way Republic Services does. Multiple times I paid deposits to get temporary containers to my home to wait and find they never showed up. **** stopped them from getting down our driveway once but I was only aware of that because I was home and spoke to the driver. We canceled our service and went with a local competitor after Republic kept adding on fees and increasing prices. It is not the first time they have done this; the same thing happened a few years ago, and we also switched them. On top of that, they have the audacity to send me a bill for picking up their trash bins. Sorry, but I never agreed to pay that and I will not be paying that. I understand that they have trouble finding enough drivers and delays due to the weather. Those are challenges all the local businesses have. ... read more

Our problems with our garbage pick up began when Republic Services acquired the family owned business for services we had for 30+ years. The quarterly rates began increasing dramatically at the same time as we experienced sporadic pick up of our yard waste bins. In frustration of the unreasonably high fuel surcharge rates we mailed written notice in September to Republic to end our service effective December 1st. I just cancelled my service with Republic Services Inc., after learning from my neighbors of the huge differential in what I was paying (over $600 differential in cost quarterly!!) for residential sanitation services. It's completely outrageous and unconscionable that they charge dramatically different rates for the same type of services in the same neighborhood. I don't know how they are able to legally do this. Republic Services purchased a great local trash/recycling company a year or so ago and have had nothing but issues since. Pickups have been missed at least every other week. It got so bad that I sent a letter to the **** Things did improve for a few months but over the past month the trash/recycling has been picked up 40% of the time. I've been emailing with at least 5 different local ppl but they are not able to resovle the issue. The trash/recycling has not been picked up in over a week now. Please help!

The customer service in Billing is unbelievable the bill is never the same they are price gouging they offer services and then when you call them they do not provide the services listed on the website by far one of the most horrible companies I have ever worked with

They have missed my trash 3 times within 2 months. 2 of those being back to back. Tomorrow is Good Friday so that means my trash can will be sitting full for 3 days until they decide to do their job. Worst trash service Ive ever used.

I leave no stars but can't. Hit or miss if they pick up your trash or recycle and when you call them they are nice and say someone they well pick it up GOOD LUCK with that.
