Our recyclables were not picked up in our neighborhood on Friday 6/26/2020. We received a recorded message from Republic saying they were experiencing service delays and missed receptacles would be picked up the next day. Saturday - no pick up. Sunday - no pick up. Monday - no pick up so at 2:30 pm I called Astrid at Republic and she said they were not aware of the missed pick ups. I told her we now have overflowing cans up and down the streets. On 4-22-2020 Republic Services left voicemail that they had resumed yard waste pickup. Sadly they are hit and miss when it comes to pickup. I called their local number to report a missed pickup and was told that they would pick up next day as they missed many in neighborhood. The management here was well aware of it. Sadly the garbage is still not picked up as of this writing. Many garbage totes will stay on the street till they are picked up. This company is terrible. We had them for about 3 months. We left our old company because of the issues with the recycling, so I stressed this before I even signed up with them. Was promised the service would be much better. So far we have had 6 scheduled pickups for recycling and they have missed it 5 times. As I am typing this our recycling is still sitting out front and our pickup day was yesterday. The only pickup that was on time was the very first one and thats it. They often fail to pick up waste as scheduled. This is a paid service. When you call, they act as if they are surprised and have no knowledge. They fail to understand that neighbors and communities talk to one another. We also have social media sites. We are well aware when the company representative is NOT telling the truth. VERY POOR SERVICE. I am glad Berkeley County finally found an alternate company to provide this service.

Absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. I scheduled an extra recycle pickup on 06/15/2020 outside of my normal recycle day on their website. I did not receive a confirmation email so followed up with a call on the morning of 06/16/2020 and was ensured they would pick it up. They did not pick it up and called again the evening of 06/16/2020 and confirmed it would be picked up that night. Called again the morning and evening of 06/17/2020 with the same story. Unethical and unprofessional business! Stay far away from these guys. Starting at $86 a month, after over 4 years they increased to over $150 a month.Then they charge you 6 months of charges to stop doing business with them! There appear to be many, many others who have left them for the same reasons I did. Class Action lawsuit just waiting to happen.

We are a 501 (C) 3 Charity swimming pool and recreation center that due to Covid-19 has had all activities flat-lined. As such, we attempted to cancel our dumpster services with Republic and were told that until we pay a cancellation fee of six times our latest monthly bill, plus a removal fee, and send a certified letter of cancellation... we will not be canceled, nor will they come and remove the dumpster, and they will continue to bill us each month until we pay the 6 month "liquidation fee" and a "removal fee". 2 weeks in a row our recycling has not been picked up. This corresponds with us placing 'Black Lives Matter' and 'End Police Brutality' signs in our yard. I would hate to think that the drivers working for Republic are racist. Still waiting or resolution of this matter. Recycling still has not been picked up, despite being told that they were 'sending some one out to get it' on two separate occasions. This is three weeks on no service. Looking for resolution. I scheduled a pickup for large items for June 2nd. Republic services took out my money on the 27th, fine. The 2nd came and no pickup. I’ve called everyday since then(today is the 13th), sometimes I get through to a representative sometimes I’m on hold for an hour and nothing.
