I turned off auto payment in early July and then made a payment online. Later in the month, autopayment debited my Visa anyway. So, I paid twice and had a credit balance on the 20th I called to ask for a refund. I was told it takes a couple of days. Then, I called again on the 27th to ask why I still had a debit on my Visa and a credit on the Republic Services dashboard. I was told the supervisor had approved the Visa credit 7/20. So....? If I could give this company zero stars or negative stars I would. I have had nothing but issues with them since I canceled my first account with them to go with a MUCH cheaper local company in April of 2019. My bill went from nearly $140 a quarter to $60 a quarter. They are triple the cost of other trash services. We canceled our service because they had already missed 1 week of pick ups. I had 2 weeks of trash and I asked for the pick up to happen on the normal schedule. They missed it again. And schedule a container pick up for a week later. 1st CSR Mercedes was condescending and kept cutting me off. The 2nd CSR James was helpless. I had to find another waste company because of so many missed pickups. I prepaid through February 6th, the last day they picked up my garbage. Now they have turned me into a collection agency even though I have proof I prepaid. They have tacked on late fees on top of that. I sent my bank statement to prove I paid to the collection agency and they said they didnt receive it. So now I'm back to square one and the fees just keep adding up. Never use this company. We moved into a new home and their locked in price for weekly service was the same as the biweekly was another local competitor. Deciding to be cost efficient, we went with them and regret every second of it. Set up service late June with barrels scheduled to be delivered July 2 ahead of our July 6 start date. The barrels didn't arrive until two weeks after their date. Missed garbage pick ups with promises to pick up later in week but never picks up missed trash
Have tried to get trash bins from Republic for a month now and they keep cancelling delivery. Calling customer service sucks because the two people that have answered my calls have had attitudes and have hung up basically saying "sorry about your luck, try again in a week".

This is the worst trash company on the face of this planet. Everything they do is poor quality and not on schedule. My latest complaint is that they failed to pick up their trash receptacles over two weeks after I cancelled service. I even called to remind them the day before they committed to pick them up and they still failed to meet their commitment. Their trash receptacles are now still sitting in front of the house, much to the concern of the new owners.

The review will not allow me to rate them with no star so I am forced into rating a one star. This is one of the worst companies I have ever done business with. Numerous times they have not or missed the scheduled pickup all because of a broken down truck. Your a multi million dollar company and we get this excuse constantly. You no longer have to make that excuse to me. I have no idea how you could rate a A- with the BBB. You must be paying them.
