Service was ok, but pricing was getting high. Found out about another company in area so checked them out - would save over $50 for time period covered - so switched. Called Republic to cancel - they said they would pick up their container - which they did. They then proceeded to bill me for $43.25 to pick up their property !! When called and questioned about it they said it's on our web site under fees - when you cancel service they lock you out from accessing what was your account so try to verify that. Worst customer service!!! I cancelled my service the beginning of December 2019 because I sold my business and they still took out funds from my credit card on December 15th twice, for two payments. I contacted them on December 23, 2019 the first time informing them they billed me incorrectly, they said they will look into it and get back to me. Well, I've called about 10 times since then and 8 plus emails to them and continue to get the run around. This company steals from it's customers....Find a different waste service be... read more

I used republic services for over a year. We had multiple missed pickups but that's not my complaint. My complaint is that when I cancelled service they decided to tag on as many fees possible. I cancelled before the next billing cycle but they took three weeks to correct the bill then they charged me a $30 pickup fee (no where I can take the can myself of course), only took off half the environmental fee, left the administrative fee, and then charged me a late fee!! I have been trying since 1/3/20 to cancel my account. Here it is 3/23/20 and I'm still having issues. I've received bills, which I was told not to pay as I called to cancel my account! I'm now receiving threatening letters to send me to a collection agency. I have excellent credit and don't need a poorly run company reporting me for what I feel is their inadequate invoicing, billing, system issues, incompetent record-keeping. Disgusted and frustrated. Would NOT recommend these people at all.

THE WORST in servicing!! Paid my money upfront, and have been missed TWO WEEKS IN A ROW!! Called twice on Friday and was told it would be picked up and NOTHING!! The have the most incompetent people working there!!!

Horrible customer service. Constant billing issues and service delays. Another provider needs to cover their service area.

I am in an unincorporated area of Shelby Co AL.The county contracts our garbage service.It was bad under Waste Pro and they were bought out by Republic,and it is just as bad!Many times they have not picked up my garbage when they were suppossed to!Today,Mon March 16 it is still sitting there,and my pick up date was Thur the 12th!WHY DID Shelby County contract with such a CRAPPY PLACE!!!!!

Its very dissapointing that a Company so large can't fix they're Invoicing system.We are a Commercial Company here in Georgia and have two 40 yards Containers with Republic Services. For the last year I been corecting Invoices every month do to wrong charges. Emailing our sales rep. every month and keep getting credits and the problem is still not solved. According to the ***************** ************* dumpster regulations, no dumpsters in a residential area is allowed to be emptied before 7am. Republic services is consistently picking up anywhere between 3:30 am (which is most frequent) and 6am. Why on earth would a company believe it is acceptable to pick up a metal dumpster, using hydraulic lifts at that time of day in a residential area?
