Opened my first bill and was shocked by a hidden price for container delivery of $60 along with Admin fee and Environmental fee. Total bill $129 after deducting the $50 paid at the account setup. Complained about it and Republic told that the recording for account setup is not available and I had to wait if someone can find it. Opened my bill and was shocked by an almost 50% increase. Called the same day to cancel service. Was billed for another full month (without service). Put my cans out to be picked up when told, two weeks later they were still there. Called, was told "Friday". They were finally picked up. Horrible Company. Bill went up almost $20 in two years. Called and was quoted 43.50 by another waste company. Called republic they were able to lower my bill to $48 from 65.25. Paid the $48 and continued to receive phone calls and bills. I called and was told it would take a few weeks to go through the systems. Only gave one star cause 0 isn't an option. Charges go up every billing cycle. Then when you try to cancel, a recovery fee is added. They also threaten to turn you over to collection agencies if you don't pay their scam fees, when they should be shut down tomorrow. A very unethical company. Wouldn't recommend this crooked business to my worst enemy. Go anywhere but republic.
Worst customer service ever! They bought out a local company. We moved a few miles down the road. They wanted to charge me to move my containers but wouldn't allow me to because they needed to change out the containers since it had the old company's name on it. Not my problem. The record keeping and service by operations has been a nightmare. The customer service constantly assures issue resolution but doesn’t solve the issues. 1. Back in January, We cancelled request for extra recycle can since they didn't deliver when they said they would. We never received extra recycle can prior to cancelling waste and recycle service. 2. Zero Star Review. Was a Republic customer for 3 years. In that time, my bill went from $45 a quarter to over double $109 for the same basic service. When I called to cancel service to switch to a company with more transparent costs and billing, I was cleverly offered a discounted rate to keep us. When I asked how long that rate would last, the service representative responded that he could make no guarantees. DO NOT USE REPUBLIC WASTE I opened an account with Republic Waste in November of 2018 because I was moving into a new home. I had previously had service with them at a different location but that service had been canceled for more than two years at this point. I cannot express my feelings enough through this review. I was charged $50 in August '19 for their "services" which I never received. They dropped off a garbage can and I didn't receive a service for over a month. They left my garbage to rot indefinitely until I called to cancel my services. I was told there would be a $35 fee for picking up the can which would be withdrawn from my account which it never was.
