I had their service for over 8 year and called several times about the top being left open when it rained and was told nothing could be done.I found a better service and paid my bill through the end of the quarter- they picked up my trash can immediately and are trying to charge $47 for the pick- up. I refuse to pay it and have had HORRIBLE customer service. Do not do business with them- you will be sorry. I would give negative stars if I could.

This company’s customer service is the equivalent of their focus area- it’s trash. A neighbor apparently ordered a trash collection bin to be delivered to our condo complex. When they delivered the bin, they parked it in a private driveway, blocking cars from passing and immediately obstructing entrance to my unit. Since discovering this I’ve called multiple times a day for three days, each time I’ve been assured that someone would call me to confirm removal and relocation to the public street. Everything negative there’s been written about them most likely true. We canceled our service on a March 23 and they never closed out our accounts. It’s not that customer service is bad. I think whatever system for billing the company uses is highly problematic. It took 3 calls and over a month for them to pick up their containers after we canceled. Cancelled my service with Republic-Services at the end of my 3month term and was told that I owe them nothing and if I received a bill to disregard it, well now they claim I owe them $55.85 for a 96 gallon tote container pickup fee, and I called them and the said I owe nothing again, now I got a message on my answering machine saying I owe the bill, so even though they’re representative said I owe nothing they are still wanting a unjustified pickup charge for coming to get they’re container after I cancelled the service, whi... read more

We had a 3-Year contract for an 8-Yard Cardboard Recycling container to be picked up and exchanged weekly for $83.36 per month. At the end of our contract - without communicating with us in advance - they increased the rate by more than 20%. So, we cancelled our service. Then they charged us a ONE-TIME container removal fee of $109.73, which is more than our normal monthly fee for exchanging our container every week. Ridiculous. This company is the least reliable of any I have ever delt with. They have no concern with customer relations , billing matters or service problems. I had them for 5 years and have discontinued their service as have several others I am aware of also. They are big and therefore think the individual customer is not worth satisfying. Local companies are much more willing to please. Be aware !!!

I would give them 0 stars if I could! I called customer service back in June to cancel my service and schedule a pick up for the trash bin. We were moving out of state and selling the house. The guy I spoke with was very helpful in canceling it and said that since I had already paid for June, July, and August that I would get reimbursed for July and August. He said they would pick up my bin the following week and that was it! 1 month later in July, my realtor said that they still had not picked up the bin. I called them and ... read more

We are extremely frustrated. Our trash has not been emptied in 2 months! We have called and notified Republic Services SEVEN times that our trash has not been emptied. They have all of our complaints on file and assure us every time that someone is on their way to pick up our trash. STILL HASN’T HAPPENED. They apologize over and over and say that they will have this issue fixed “the next day”. Our trash hasn’t even been touched since September! We have trash STACKED in our garage. Back in June 2019 I switch Garbage Disposal companies due to the fact that my invoice kept rising. After making the switch, I confirmed with the Billing person I talked to on the phone that my balance was paid in full and they were going to come pick up their trash bins. They missed the original date given to me for pick up. Ok, no big deal as I just kept the binds on the driveway.
