Do not keep their word. The week of Thanksgiving we were not informed when pickup would be. Left the bin out for 3 days, with no trash pickup. Called to confirm pick up the next Monday and was told pick up was supposed to happed that day, but did not. So a week of trash was missed. I called back and advised “I have extra trash now since we had a week of trash missed and if it would be ok to put the extra trash on side of the can”. We have been a commercial customer for 8 years at our business. We were told when we took over the service that our bill would never go above $57 per month for the dumpster service we have. Numerous times the bill was raised, we would call in and a lady named Shelly had fixed the issue and put the amount back to where it was supposed to be. Shelly apparently no longer works there, now we have been getting charged over $125 per month for 2 pick ups a month, which is insanely crazy. Republic Services has hit the last straw with me. Republic took over for Waste Management at the beginning of 2019 after they made some sort of deal with my town to change providers, and it has been one of the most awful changes in service providers that one could imagine. All year long the curb service has left my trash bins in the street after emptying them, and in one case I nearly received a citation from local police for my trash bin being in the middle of the road and being a hazard. Called to cancel service on October 14th as I found service for less money. Kept bin at the road for 2 weeks for them to pick up. Called again on October 28th and was told the service was not cancelled. Cancelled it again. Was told that there would be a $30 charge for pick up of the bin but that we could call and have it cancelled out. I received a bill on Dec 5th and a notice of collections on December 14th. Republic Services is awful. I cancelled my service on Sept 29 and was told I would receive an invoice for toter pickup of $36.30. I have waited for the reconciliation as I received an invoice for service after my cancel date. I also received an invoice for return of two toters while I only had one. On December 7, I received a collection notice for an invoice involving two toters and services which I did not receive. We moved in to our new house in East Leroy, MI in September, 2019. We went with Republic Services, because they offer recycling. We were told that we would be charged $33 for each container, plus other delivery fees. When I disagreed with paying for each, I was told that they would wave one of the container fees. I agreed and completed my order for new services. My delivery bill arrived, and I had to call to have it adjusted, since they charged me for both. Call Republic to pick up Refrigerator Nov. 22. Said truck would be out following week, Nov 27. I call the 3pm Nov 27 to make sure refrigerator would be picked up. Mohammed assured me the refrigerator would be picked up by the end of the day. Refrigerator still not picked up. Called Fri., Nov 29th. I have been waiting MONTHS for a new bin to replace the one that is damaged from the mechanical lift truck leaving it too close to the road and someone’s vehicle hitting it- the bin has a gaping access that allows animals to get inside and tear up trash bags and the mess mixes with the rain water that gets in. Thankfully it is cold out and the wasps that were there are gone... BUT .. the point is, I resent being lied to by customer service about when a replacement bin will be delivered. Really.
