Our church has been using Republic Services to provide a 2 yard dumpster and weekly service for over 15 years. The services they have provided have been acceptable. However, their pricing is not. When they raised our rates over 10% this last month, I went out for competitive bids. I was shocked. We were paying Republic $820 per month while the three competitors were charging between $95 and $135. I can't believe the gouging practices they have been employing. Ohhhh......boy. I have about flipped "MY LID" with this company. I have spent hours and hours going around and around with various people and obtaining a almost a different story each and every time I have called regarding my service and bill! . Long story short....I paid my quarterly bill in Full on 5/29 for 6/01 - 8/31. (I have been a customer for 20 years!). I'm having the same issue as most of the other people on here. I called Republic Services to cancel my services as a new and cheaper option had become available. I gave them a couple of weeks notice. I've been a timely paying customer for nearly 15 years, even though the rates tripled in that time from $45 every 3 months to $115. Even when gas prices went down and theirs continued upward, and even though they no longer used people to handle the trash but the robotic arm. How can I rate them as 0 Zero Starts? Republic Services is the worst. They failed to deliver reliable services and their customer support representatives don't seem to care. They would miss pickup and we would call the next day and were promised someone would come that day. When they didn't come as promised, we'd call again and were promised the next day. I received my bins on August 27. The first pick up for recycling should have been Wednesday, September 4. It was not picked up. I have called 4 times, each time speaking with a lovely customer service representative, and each representative assured me they put in a note and request that my bins will be serviced. My bins have been out for a week and they are full. No Republic trucks have been out my way to service the bins. I am beyond frustrated that I am being told they will be serviced and then they are not.

I would not recommend Republic Services to anyone. I have called there 3 times to resolve an issue and still nothing. Our yard waste has not been picked up in 2.5 weeks and they can’t tell me why. I know why. I called 3 weeks ago to complain that the regular garbage truck was picking up yard waste that we pay extra for each year. They haven’t picked it up since then. Well today we switched companies and they can eat their can pick up fee

I cancelled our trash service at the end of June 2019. Service was paid through the end of July 2019. At the time of cancellation, the lady I talked to in customer service never said there was a $30 fee for each container to be removed. On top of $60 they added an environmental recovery fee of $19.62 and a solid waste tax of $3.89. Total bill was$83.51. That’s almost as much as 3 months of service. I'm required to leave a star rating for this company. I would like to leave a NEGATIVE 5 but the system won't allow it, so I have to leave one star, but it's a very tarnished star. Their customer service sucks. Be very careful if you use Republic Services for your trash disposal or if you are thinking about using them in the future. Make sure that you keep accurate records of what you discuss, who you talked to and exactly what was said when you contact their customer service department because if what you tell them happened... read more

They just don't get it! How hard is it to pick up garbage? ALL OF IT! Doesn't matter how nearly I square away my trash in the bin. When I get home from work, it's all over the street. NEWS FLASH: You guys are not the only game in town. Get your act together otherwise you can throw our account im the trash. This is your final warning. We are done with this matter. Potluck Pick Up is only a phone call away.
