asked for residential pickup service in October. Payed $50 for a deposit, which later turned out to be a delivery fee for the trash can. Can showed up three weeks later with a pickup day of thursdays, never happened. my wife would call Fridays several times and getting hung up on. Rates continually go up. You are contracted in at one price (READ THE FINE PRINT ON YOUR CONTRACT) but they can raise rates whenever they want. i recently moved from pinellas to hernando county called republic services to set up garbage pick up, no problem whatsoever order was processed and i paid my 50.00 all good right? nope, now its the day before thanksgiving and i am sitting on 3 weeks of garbage still have no container or recycle bin for use. now i dont think it is unreasable to expect paying money in return for a service but after multiple phone calls i am still getting the runaround including today when the lady told me i would be charged for bags! well hell... read more

BEWARE OF 'DISCLOSED' FEES. After years of service they nail you $85 to remove your containers. No way to get around it. Of course they delivered them for free, and there is no option to return them yourself. If you don't have them picked up, they will charge you even more for the cost of the container, which wasn't worth anything as it had been broken by their trucks over the years. I wish there was a negative star rating.

This company is a ripoff. I just sold my building and ask them to remove the trash containers that I paid for to them originally. They are changing me $497.31 to remove the containers (3 containers). Additionally, they are charging me over $109.91 for total fuel/Environmental recovery fee. BBB need to do something about this company. I had complained before and nothing has been done yet. THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD

I have used Republic Services for my trash pick up at both of our homes - Vail AZ and ***** **** MO for a few years. We just recently returned from our summer residence in MO, called to restart our service at our Vail AZ address, and found out they wanted to charge us for the period starting a month before we returned to Vail. This is the absolute worst. Two weeks in a row with no trash or yard waste pick up. I call every day and they promise to "Escalate" my case and pick up my trash that day but never do. They promise to have the route manager call me to explain why they are not picking up my trash, but never do this either. We had seasonal service for 5 years. Billing was messed up every off season causing great frustration. This year was the final straw so we cancelled service completely at the end of the season. To no surprise, billing again was messed up. The bill was paid in full and confirmed over the phone, only to receive several late payment calls and emails. The pick up crew has takenrrcylable items such as plastic bags, paper towels, and styrofoam bowls, paper plates out of the container and thrown them in my yard on more than one occasion. There was also a trash bin next to the recycle bin that they could have put any items they did not want to take directly into yet they chose to litter up yard instead. It's not hard to see why they have such a low rating... Pitiful.....
